No, this is not original reggae, however, I grew up in the islands and the covering of non-reggae songs was common, expected, and accepted. Yes, there were a lot of crap remakes, but there were also some really good ones, like this one. In my opinion, and it's only my opinion, so don't freak out 70's folks, this is actually a better version than the original.
