Secondly, the forceful integration that act brought about was actually detrimental to racial relations. What it really did was increase racial tension and intrude on personal freedom. All the rights everybody has (black, white, green yellow, straight, gay, bi, male female) are already described in the constitution and declaration of Independance.. In fact ML King pointed towards those documents all the time to justify his cause. Then why were black people still treated so poorly?
