this is really rather good. I had to listen to it about 3 times to really here all the sections. But I would recommend that the Timpani get a little bit more focus earlier on to really set that beat your looking for. Also I didnt hear enough bass if any at all I wasnt sure even after the third time. Soom bassoon or bass clarinet could really add alot to this piece.
@m2dark4u Thanks m8 well yes I had a bassclarinet/clarinet and an oboe and trumpet to my disposal also but I didn't know how to fit them in.. sorry but I'm still a noob in composing so I had no idea how they would sound with this composition :) Next time I'll make sure atleast a bass is included next to the cello and the contrabass ;)
@avatar6091 The all sting woodwind sound is really good so i would advise against adding trumpet. but yes do add the bass clarinet. I think you could have them sync up with the Timpani to give that bass line more emphasis. But you are really good at this and with some more work you could really be writing some awesome work.

now, it's not that I didn't like it, it would be superb for game music, and definately beats the LoL OST. But.
I'd like to hear more harmonies, more "purpose" than melodies wondering around, more nerve. you are a very lucky guy, having your piece played by an orchestra
@SpyVi thanks for the feedback yes the piece does indeed need some more work on but I wrote it in one night before it had to be recorded and this is my first orchestral piece so in the future it will be better and yes indeed I am lucky but I am happy that I got picked
@SpyVi Uhm I had a string quartet, a flute/piccolo, oboe, clarinet/bass clarinet, percussion consisting out of (timpani's, vybra/xylophones) and a trumpet at my disposal.
I kept it safe and I just used the string quartet, the flute and the timpani's for this composition since it was my first composition made for a chamber orchestra. Also unlike the others participating with this project did I not get any guidance from the orchestra nor my teacher ;) so I had to find out everything myself
i'm going to respond here, instead of the lol-forum. If you ever finish that piano piece, i'd love to try to play it, since i'm always looking for new things. (btw, i'm from belgium ;-)). so, keep up the good work, and i'm sure you'll get somewhere. Don't believe everything the "music teacher" is saying... because the great composers are the people who can bend the rules to their own good (like mozart...).
@jumpertjeeeh hehe well you know where to find it headfirst the piece ;) and you're right but he does have a point at some places if you listen really carefully you hear what he means but that is only if you listen carefully :P
