  • 6:15 i swear the girls may have made a mess in there underware

  • funny how he mentions (spare the rod spoil the child) shame they don't use the rod these day kids would be more disciplined and not out of control and when i mention that its not for them to whip or any phyical abuse because i know how ppl work

  • I can see some similarities between brom and Gaston and Ichabod and Belle lol

  • The year in the Sleepy hollow is supposed to be 1790. George Washington is the 1st President of the United States & New York is supposed to be considered a state.

  • Doug Walker (Nostalgia Critic) sent me here!

  • If you make a parody of The legend of sleepy hollow use

    1. James as Ichabod crane

    2. The ghost engine from scaredy engines as the headless horseman

    3. Diesel as Brom Bones

    4. Boco as the Horse

    5. Lady as Katrina van tisel

  • 7:32 Wet pants? Wow even Disney had some slight innuendo back then. But at least that isn't so glaring and unsubtle as untrained, perverted hands would do so today.

  • Brom..... Your typical jock and "it guy" XD

  • i was introduced to the story of sleepy hallow at Elementary school when they performed it at an assembly

  • How could Ichabod stay so skinny when he eats?

  • @dolphinluv2413 Metabolism?

  • Is that Bing Crosby?

  • @KIAStudios yes, it is

  • It just comes to show, everyone, that there is no good cooking like home cooking! ;)

  • This is my all time fav and I do have it on Vhs :)

  • Watching this always made me hungry. God he practically inhales food.

  • DAMN! He ate that chicken as if it was a tic tac! He eats more than I do! I love this movie!

  • It's great to hear Bing crosby's voice in this film.

  • Mr Toad is fine, but this is definitely the better of the two, imo!

  • Shortly after 3:05, as Brom starts drinking his beer, his socks change length for a few frames.

  • best adaptation of the legend of sleepy hollow

  • Bing Crosby is Ichabod Crane. Awesome.

  • and - of course - she is blond. xD

  • Is it me, or does Ichabod seem like a bottomless pit? He's always eating lol, what a metabolism!

  • Woah. Basil Rathbone, immediately followed by Bing Crosby?

    *heaven*

  • @UselessRambling Oh, are you a Basil Rathbone fan too?

  • @HighPrinceGasket Very much so, yes. I started watching this movie because I was unfortunately deprived of it as a kid. :/ When I heard Basil Rathbone's voice, I was overjoyed.

  • @UselessRambling Ah, very nice. I was particulary fond of his role in the Sherlock Holmes movies. Rathbone played a great Holmes.

  • I'd bang Ichabod any day ;)

  • I'm 21 years old, when I was a child I watched the Mr Toad story countless times. I didn't even know this story existed. Abbydobbie and youtube, I thank you for this.

  • This is a great movie! Bring in Bing and it gets a million times better!

  • Katrina is wow wow wow... HOT!

  • Disney/Crosby Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a must view every Halloween.=)

  • how come Ichabod eats so much and never gains a pound or two?

  • @andoykids Must not be able to produce fat cells. Like Gary Cooper.

  • This is probably one of the best movies made from Washington Irving's novel "Sleepy Hollow", a damn good book!

  • does he say "once you have met the cokehead Katrina"?!!!

  • @Lobodomy69

lol He says coquete, but close enough! xD

  • @BEL79NUN I disagree, they may look similar in appearance but their personalities are very different. Gaston was a selfish, self serving and violent egotist. Bram may have been a practical joker and he may have liked getting into fights but overall he way a good guy.

  • she looks like Cinderella and Ichabod looks more like Bing Crosby

  • Bing Crosby!

  • word to the wise: never let little kids watch this before bed, if you do, well be prepared for nightmares and staying up!!!!

  • Haha! He wore the chicken and ate his hat.

  • Bram Bones reminds me of Gaston from beauty & The Beast

  • when i was little, i thought you were seeing Ichabod walking up the street through the hole in the ale barrel...

  • i love Ichabod. he's so sweet.

  • I loved this story so much, gotta love living in NY

  • @IrishAngel2001 much NEWER NY :)

  • LOVE THIS MOVIE!

  • I have the 1999 VHS of that movie which was under the "Masterpiece Collection" that I got at Goodwill recently, but I've never bought this tape until now and this was the last Disney film to be released on VHS under the "Masterpiece" name. I used to have "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" VHS as part of "Disney's Favorite Stories" series, but I got rid of it, because I like the entire film better along with "Wind of the Willows" into one film.

  • @HomeoftheGoodGuys The film was later released in the 1950's as a featurette, and it was narrated by Bing Crosby, the singer and actor who had a bunch of songs including their all-time holiday classic "White Christmas" as well as "Swingin' On a Star" and even starred in a bunch of movies including "Holiday Inn", "The Bells of St. Mary's", "Going My Way", "High Society" with Frank Sinatra and many of his "Road" films co-starring Bob Hope and Dorothy LaMour.

  • Ichabod's only line in the whole movie is when he introduces himself to the two ladies

  • Mr. Toad part is sooooo boring, but the Ichabod part is fantastic.

  • lol, soo true

  • This cartoon reminded me of Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Lady and the Tramp, Sword in the Stone, 101 Dalmatians, Cinderella and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

  • i absolutely love how he is reading and there isnt a word...hell a letter...on any damn page

  • I loved that part.

  • wow Katrina makes love even with ugly men? O.o

  • Wow! Katrina looks like Cinderella Lol Thats funny! =)

  • This was my fav' Disney Movie when I was a kid. It's great finding nearly forgotten old gems like this. thanks :)

  • @babystreetfighta How true nothing beats going back to your roots.

  • Wow! That's a perfect rendition of Ichabod Crane!!

  • There's no mistaking Bing Crosby's deep singing voice.

  • i cant believe this movie actually scared me.....wow....damn i love childhood

  • me to man and i miss it like crazy

  • Ichabod ate his hat

  • Even though Pixar's animation is really well done, we need the hand drawn animation back. How they draw the characters in Disney is simply perfect.

  • @AnimationManiac Very true. Disney needs to go back to traditional animated films like these and leave the CGI to Pixar.

  • dude food always looks so much better in cartoons. i wanna get my noms on with that shit.

  • @CaptainConnorsaurus Hell Yeah it looks like something from a commerical.

  • Perfect in every sense of the word. This brings me back to my childhood, watching this in the cozy comfort of my grandmothers living room, and scaring myself silly!

  • When he says his name to the woman, its the only time he talks in the Show.

  • are they shovels or are they feet.. hahaha

  • 5:22 hes writing in his jurnal, but wheres the pen in the shadow??

  • I love cartoons of the 1940s! They are great!

  • This was Disney at it's best. It's a shame we now have Hannah Montana and High School Musical.

I don't bother with those series, I enjoy the classic animated films.

  • i kno! all thats left is computer animated or reality! theres barly any cartoons left in disney! that makes me sad....):

  • It truly is a shame. Walt Disney's works were nothing short of spectacular, and "Ichabod and Mr. Toad" was no exception.

The really sad thing is people buy into what Disney Channel is dishing out. These classics need a return to the big screen; it'll do our society some good, as far as entertainment is concerned.

  • he ate all that food and he was still skinny, lol

  • Mm-hmm. You can double say that again pal.

    That is so double ridiculous.

  • Katrina Total Reminds Me Of My Friend emma. Always Flirting I Call Those Girls "Hoocie" lol BD

I Love This Movie, I Love All Disney Cartoon Classics :)

  • why does food always look so much more delicious in cartoons!!

  • @mnmlovr7

I know, even the salad looked delicious.

  • @mnmlovr7 have no idea, but i agree, it does look more delicious

  • @mnmlovr7 because it is lol

  • O.O!

    I know the narrator's voice...*GASP* BING CROSBY!!

My inner dork is very happy right now.

  • @lonelypeacock your just right, you can even see it in the wikipedia page for more info

  • @lonelypeacock arent we all?

  • I WANT THIS SOUNDTRACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Me too.

  • i love the music in this movie

  • OMG!!! I'm totaly in love with "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad"!! I bought the video years ago and loved it from the first time I saw it. It has the charme of good, old Disney-Films, funny characters and really great music. Awesome!!

  • all i am thinking while i'm watching this is omg lol,

  • lol he gave beer to the dogs and horse

  • i remember watching this one in 4 grade cause my class read the book, not this version, a different one. and right when we got to the end, the bell rang! and i never saw the ending. until now1 thx for uploading! ^^ i just recently watched Sleepy Hallow, johnny deep version in my english class in 10th grade, and bought it 2 weeks ago.

  • I like this movie. I used to watch a long time ago when I was a young child. And I love the songs and everything about this movie.
