  • why have so a idiot a bmw m3

  • damn thats fast!!!!!!!!!!! lol just jk :p

  • umm,,, do you think people are that stupid??? don´t think so that´s aload of bullshit !!

  • hahahahhahahah

  • how do you do it?

  • OMG! You revved it past redline!!!!

    lol jk

  • What is the porpose of moving where the red line is? Does it make it not rev any higher than that? Just wondering if anybody knows. Thanks

  • @vetteboy453 That's exacly right. The red line moves depending on oil temperature and preasure and so on. It takes like 5 minutes for it to get all the way up on idle from a cold start. You can't rev any higher than the redline, it's put there to protect the engine while it's cold.

  • @lockzi Wow that's good technology right there lol

  • No this is a test that you do on the new bmw's were it tests if everything is working like the dials and stuff like the whole panel. its just a system test.

  • WTF????!!!!

  • what???

  • Absolutely funny what kind of comments a lasy video like this produces...

  • @ognirem Agreed, I've enjoyed the comments for years now :D

  • how the fuk is dat fake its a dash test ... duh!

  • como hacn eso?

  • nueva technologia de BMW..

  • fakeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • 0-330 in 10 seconds :P record :P

  • how do you do that man?

  • yeah alright

  • CVT tranny? haha

  • insert key , put contact make the dials go to 330 as they normaly do.. only in SLOW MOTION :) big deal...

  • yes and 0-330 10sec, fuck nerd :/

  • ma è il quadro quando si accende l'auto sta ferma guardate bene si sente ke gira la chiave... poi un auto non può partirea 0 rpm

  • fastern than a bugatti veyron, JK JK lol

whats he doing testing his speedo?

  • All the lights and dials. I wonder if the M3 has a 'Vegas' test where all the lights flash and the dials move up and down real fast.

  • LOL:D

  • its just testing to make sure all the lights and stuff are in function...its called a system test on the dash

  • i think they testing with obd systrem if all thing r okay .

  • is it true...that when you ignition a m3... at cold start...you can't revs at first minute more than 4.5krpm???

  • It is partly true. It's not time limited but instead temperature and pressure limited. Takes like 3-6 minutes before it allows full rev. Also it won't go beyond 7k RPM if in neutral I've noticed.

  • but engine can revs to 8250rpm...after heating?

  • I belive 8400 RPM, but yes.

  • but m3 revs high because it use DualVANOS?

  • Don't understand your questions here... While developing the M3 they researched what the best options would be for it's weight, aerodynamics and existing technologies and BMW has a past of being against turbos and the result was a high revving V8.

  • It revs high because of its engine design (short stroke), which does include the Dual Vanos among other things.

  • yes, i know...short stroke...high revs....like F1

  • its no secret menu sort of thing every car has that did that wid my CLS little while ago

  • I'll have you know that it is regarded as the secret menu since it's a button (and switch) sequence you have to enter in order to get to this. It is made for the service center to get into the cars main computer from inside the car. One of the options in the secret menu is test and that's what I'm running in this video.

  • yeah i know that but i didn't know that it was a secret menu anyway it still looks cool if its either in my CLS or in ur M3 it looks cool

  • ERROR!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • bad

  • cool to see how low the redline can be

  • Wow, secret panel?!? God I can play with that all day!!

  • i have a 2002 m3, how do u get that to work???

  • Probably only available with the iDrive thing.

  • whoops. ignore that

  • interesting how most BMW's have this...my E46 m3 has it too

  • so does my E36 M3!!

  • Okay... So everyone who thinks they are cool runs the test sequence, interesting enough.

To summary, you've just proven that I really am better than you to say the least. Cheers for raising my confidence level beyond previously possible.

    Best regards,

    the cool guy

  • Actually, all German cars are stock limited to a max of 155mph, if not lower. This includes ALL Mercedes AMG, BMW ///M and Audi RS cars. This was done for liability reasons and also to make the German Green Party happy.

Of course, you can take the limiter off and the M3 will approach 200mph. The M3 is truly a marvel of technology and performance.

  • Yeah. :) and maybe because of the Autobahn?;P

  • TRUE!!!

  • Lol you fail, and the BMW's are limited to 250kph, and it's not because that they can't handle the speed, because they CAN(many ppl have removed the limiter)..

Btw, BMW rules, and you fail at life.

  • m3 forever!!! uhahahaha

  • What I'm doing is accessing the secret menu inside the M3 and running the test sequence. My actual speed is in fact 0 KM/h

  • its good to always reset the onboard computer before going on a long journey ;)

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA good comment :D

  • hahaha very good!

  • Objection!
