  • Obama said; "my preference is not to hand off anything". Problem is he has and it's just going to turn out just like Greece. If we don't reverse course quickly you will have Greece in your back yards. Its a FACT. Progressives are leading the nation to its grave.

  • Al Qaeda is closer to the US/Mexican border you cannot imagine. They are leaving Iraq and Afghanistanr and coming accross the atlantic to Venezuela and Nicaragua and Mexico to get closer to the target. I am voting independent next election. Republicans and Democrats are the same BS. Obama has to go, there is no question about it. False promises. Not a single promise fulfilled yet.

  • What a fking joke....

  • lol I love how he says "we're close to a decision and I will announce that in the next several weeks to come"

this guy is an arrogant dumb ass.

yeah, we got hope and change alright.

hope that he won't completely ruin this country and change for the worse.

but its not fair to put all this on Obama, we all knew (at least those of us still awake knew) that he was a waste.

I blame the sheeple of the United States that were so eager to buy into bullshit in exchange for a free car.

  • OlympDick, doubling the number of troop deaths in Afghanistan as a result of your dithering.

Now for an affirmative action president, that's a mithon accomplished, aint it.

  • As if Bush didn't dither in afghanistan for 7 years?..

Yeah I know... I'm assuming racists have the intelligence to think before they speak.

  • bush didn't fuck with afghanistan because he knew that afghanistan was pointless and not worth American lives since its a lawless land stuck in the 16th century.

He picked his battles, and his battle was Iraq, which is proving to be a success.

  • Afghanistan aint stuck in the 16th century, its stuck in the stoneage.

  • LOL... you thought Bush wasn't in Afghanistan all this time?

Bush was in Iraq AND Afghanistan... You didn't hear about afghanistan as much, because Bush made such a big deal out of Iraq. It was a HUGE waste of our money and american/iraqi lives.

Obama "surged' more troops to Afghanistan to try and finish the job, but it's turned out to be just as much of a quagmire as Iraq.

Why do we need to fight another county's civil war when we have people DYING and BROKE within our own boarders?

  • yes we were in afghanistan but we were in limited numbers, Obama is escalading it

and in case you didn't realise, Iraq has been a success, denial won't change that

  • 600 troops where killed in afghanistan prior to 2009.

Bush ecalated the troops in December Obama then escalated it further, hopefully now he's changing strategy.

    LOL...Iraq was a success?

    Lets see:

    1. 4,500 americans dead. (1.5 times than on 911)

    2. Over half a milliion iraqi CIVILIANS killed. Several million displaced.

    3. We sank our economy. Owe almost a trillion dollars to China, 800 billion to Japan.

But the violence is less now so therefore it's a success, RIGHT....

  • wow you're a fuckin moron

    by your judgment,

WW2 was a massive defeat for us

billions of dollars spent, and over 400,000 u.s. troops KIA.

I got better things to do then debate with ignorant jackasses.

  • Instead of hearling insults maybe you should learn some history.

Jeez do you really think WW2 is the same as Iraq?

    1. WW2 was a war we didn't start.

    2. We were under attack. (pearl harbor)

    3. It brought us OUT of the depression through government spending.

    4. Our involvement lasted less than 4 years. Not 10 years as in Iraq/Afghanistan.

  • yea but ww2 was a territorial battle, we were dealing with a threat that wanted to domminate, not a threat that's ok with hiding in corners, if they were pushing out into the middle east, and we needed to beat them out as invaders well sure, thatd take like a month to win, but we're trying to coerce a people into democracy. I can kick the shit out of someone, but i cant make them lisitin to me. These arent wars... . Im not trolling you dude, this is just my opinon, which everyone is entitled to.

  • completely agree.

  • stop trying to use twisted logic,

yes WW2 and the current war on terror are two completely different wars. When I compared them I was comparing the price we paid for victory.

you spoke of 4.5k troops in the entire iraq conflict as equalling total defeat, when I remind you that we lost that many in just one day storming Iwo Jima which was some piece of shit island in the middle of nowhere.

  • WW2 was your comparison not mine...

What is your point exactly? That war sucks? Yeah I know, which is why it's stupid start them for no reason other than immenit danger. Get it?

Do you actually know what "winning" or "success" is? Or are you just repeating what the pundits say on radio?

  • and you don't have to lecture me on war, you know no better then I.

I have had friends who have served in both Iraq and afghanistan and there is a good chance that I will be in afghanistan within the next 2-3 years. So no, I am not some guy praising a cause for which I have no skin in the game.

and no, I don't believe in forcing change upon the world through force, but our enemies certainly do.

  • well, by your logic, we should have only fought japan then. Because Germany didn't bomb pearl harbor.

what the hell, Hitler was just some dictator elected by the German people, what business was it of ours to change that and stop him? Even if he was allied with the Japs.

dude, you just simply don't get it. you analyze things through a lense that is half covered.

  • They had allies we had allies... there is a reason it was called a "World War"...

The war was well in progress, Hitler was reshaping the map along with Japan.

You should know the difference between that and some guy talking shit in Iraq...

    We started the war.

  • and I also make the point that ww2 could have possibly been avoided had the allies been willing to fight hitler earlier. But no, Chamberlain declared "peace in our time" as hitler marched on Poland.

and this war we are fighting now, should have been fought in the 90's before 3,000 americans were murdered. and the truth is, it would've been easier.

  • So by your logic we should premptively strike everybody, just like Hitler preemptively struck Poland or Japan on Pearl harbor right?

You don't have the luxury of hindsight when sending hundreds of thousands of young men to their death.

LOL... Please tell me you don't actually think that Iraq had anything to do with 911?! OMFG Really?!

Learn the history of why we were atacked on 911.

Lack of WAR wasn't the reason for 911, it was INCOMPETENCE by Rice, Clarke, Bush, the FBI and NORAD.

  • don't fuckin put words in my mouth,

I never even suggested such a policy. It simply means that its better to react sooner then later. and bush was in office for less then a year buddy so sorry you can't blame 911 on him....jackass

  • I'm responding to your words. deal with it.

The Germans/Japanese saw the US as a potential threat so they attacked. It's called pre-emptive strike, Just like we did in Iraq. Do you not get that?

You blame Obama for Afghanistan and everything else this year yet you give Bush a PASS for 911?

You are a HYPOCRITE and clearly brainwashed by what you hear on talk radio.

President elects are briefed MONTHS before taking office and Bush IGNORED every national security memo up until 911.

  • and victory is not a measure of time or body count, but rather a measure of sheer will and capability.

so to say that Iraq was a failure because it actually cost us in time money and blood is an argument that only a moron would make with predetermined ill-will for the u.s.

  • You have a very infantile view of war my friend.

By your logic if we have the means and opportunity then any war that can be waged must be waged. Right?

War is not fun in games. It's not XBox or PS3. It's human lives.

To say that the thousands that we sacrificed was WORTH IT. To say that the hundreds of thousands of civillilan lives were WORTH IT.. Makes me sick.

If you actually think like that then it makes you no better than Hitler trying to reshape the world through force.

  • actually in terms of means and will I was speaking about the possibility to obtain victory. not justification for war itself.

see you are like a snake that tries to slither out of an argument by turning it into something its not. You label me as some war monger by describing how bad war is and therefore how bad I must be for supporting one.

The debate here is whether or not Iraq is important and just. So stick to what is realevant.

  • I'm sorry but, if you think the iraq war was important and just then you ARE a war monger.

Does it matter that half a million or more civillians were slaughted? many by our own bombs?

That there was no real reason to invade? That he was no threat to the united states AT ALL.

That most of the world was against this "war" that continues till this very day?

That 9 soldiers have died this month in Iraq? How many dead each month counts as victory to you?

  • I have tried to be polite, but you're a fuckin asshole

you completely ignore valid points that were made to the extent that you just repeat yourself.

I NEVER SAID THAT VICTORY IS MEASURED BY DEATHS......I SAID THE EXACT OPPOSITE.

AND I MAKE THE POINT AGAIN, THAT IRAQ DIDN'T HAVE TO ATTACK US ON 911 JUST LIKE GERMANY DIDN'T HAVE TO ATTACK US AT PEARL HARBOR. They were no real threat to the U.S. either by your terms at least.

  • Instead of insults maybe you should try listening.

DID I SAY you thought victory was measured by deaths? Do you understand the difference between a statement and a question?

    Once again,

If you think WW2 is ANYTHING like Iraq, you are misinformed.

if you think Iraq HAD ANYTHING to do with 911 then you've been brainwashed by whatever crap you're listening to.

There was NEVER a fucking shred of evidence that Saddam and Al Qaeda had ANYTHING to do with each other!

    Get it?

  • oolong2- Don't waste your time, picking on retards isn't PC. It is painfully obvious this shortbus riding windowlicker only has one oar in the water. He thinks the germans bombed pearl harbor and even though he's trying real hard to be a liberal he just can't bring himself to give up his assault rifle. (check his channel) Now THAT is some funny shit right there, a lib with an SKS HA!

  • hey dan, where in the fuck did you get the idea that I am trying to be a liberal?

and any half wit knows the germans didn't bomb pearl harbor, my point was that we went to war with them anyhow.

in a room full of retards you draw the most attention.

  • I am done with you, get an education and better yet get your head out of your ass, then maybe we can talk.

  • Once again resorting to insults instead of logic/facts.

You're just upset at being wrong. Which is a really stupid way of going through life...

Someone shows you a different perspective and you get angry like a child.

I voted for Obama but I have no problems telling you EXACTLY where I think he's plain wrong:

    1. A bail-out without conditions (just like Bush did).

    2. Escalating Afghanistan (which he's about to do again).

But YOU are nothing but a brainwashed PARTISAN.

  • I insult you because you think you are entitled to your own facts.

During 9/11 Bush was in office for about 8 months. Which is not even close to being enough time to implement his own policy.

when 9/11 happened, he reacted and we haven't been attacked since.

Clinton, we were attacked 8 times and he did a big fat goose egg, which invited more attacks with even higher body counts.

Just like 9/11 with bush, I don't blame the recession on Obama, I scorn his reaction to it.

  • You started out making excuses for Bush and you STILL ARE...

For Bush "just ignore the first year."

For Clinton the attack that happened a MONTH after Clinton's inaugruation was entirely his fauilt. You're pathetic.

President elects are given access to all national security intel. There was a systematic effort to IGNORE everything from the Clinton administration because of PARTISANSHIP. It is documented.

Warning after warning was IGNORED and the FBI, Bush, Condi are to blame.

  • you're a fuckin moron,

terrorism was passed on to bush and he took care of it, bad economy was passed onto obama, but he has yet to improve it.

we shall see, somehow I don't think socialism will improve things.

  • sigh.... "socialism" It's obvious that you are brainwashed by our media.

As if anything proposed by congress is actual "socialism". Wake the fuck up you fool.

The difference between the parties is not that far apart. If you paid attention you would see that it's not "Socialism" NOR "capitalism" but rather both sides support "corporatism".

Stop spouting BS about "Socialism" while supporting trillions of dollars to our "government run" millitary to support coporate profits.

  • government run military?

since when the hell else has it been anything but government run? are you suggesting that we hire mercanaries to defend this country?

Government has its place, and that is to provide for national defense and interstate commerce, beyond that, private corporations and citizens should run and control things.

  • And you want to talk about body counts? 4 thousand dead soldiers, and HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of non-combatant CIVILIANS (Men, Women, and Children) Not to mention all the WOUNDED and displaced. All because Bush thought it would be profitable to do a pre-emptive strike on a country that WAS IN NO WAY a threat to us.

I'd take a handful of deaths over a MILLION any day.

If you thought for yourself you would understand, but instead you're just touting the typical mindless GOP talking points.

  • you speak of losing 4,000 soldiers and 100,000 civilians deaths in a war as if its worse then war itself. This is just proof as to how out of touch with reality you are

  • Hey buddy stop lying your ass off, you know damn well that the death toll is not even close to a million. Stop with the fuckin emotional red herrings.

4k dead soldiers and less then 100k civilians deaths is the price of war, and all things considered...its a smaller price then we have had to pay in the past

as shitty as it is, that is reality.

so basically when we are attacked we shouldn't go to war because war cost too much. So ww2 was wrong....lol you are sad

go hide your head in the sand

  • oh so its bush's fault that under Clinton we were attacked what was it? 8 TIMES by the same group.

shut the fuck up, its quite clear where your concerns lay.....party is all you care about

yes I am a conservative, but I place the united states above all else except God and my family.

and to limit the today's threat to just the group Al-quida is not only narrow viewed, its fucking stupid.

Afghanistan isn't obama's doing but that doesn't excuse him for bad handling of the war.

  • You call me a partisan yet you bring up Clinton? Hypocritical.

It was CLINTON'S FAULT when we were attacked during his administration. Just like it was BUSH's FAULT for 911 and the recession.

    What don't you get?

The fact is the Bush administration ignored the anti-terrorism measures estabolished under the previous administration.

You call yourself a "conservative" yet you justify war. Clearly you are not a "conservative" and just blindly follow what you hear on talk radio.

  • You can scrutinize bush for a lot of things,

but trying to go after him for his anti-terror policies is just plain assenine.

That was by far his strongest trait, and the fact that we havent been attacked again to this day is proof that he was dead on the money in that department.

anyone that would deny that is either corrupt at heart or just plain stupid.

and by the way, I don't listen to talk radio, my views and opinion are entirely my own. I pity cattle like you.

  • By every single world estimate terrorism has gotten worse since we invaded Iraq.

Once again this is you being brainwashed by our media.

EVERY single spy agency (including our own) has said the Iraq invasion has made terrorism worse around the world.

Al Qaeda is many times bigger than it was before 911. Our invasion and occupation has been the *best* recruiting tool they have.

Again these are FACTS. Which you woudl have if our media gave them to you, but sadly they do not.

  • No oolong, THESE ARE YOUR FACTS, and as I said before you are entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts.

FACT, WE haven't been attacked since 9/11

FACT, Al Qaeda ( as you spell it) is far more weak then pre-9/11

sorry buddy, there is something called reality that you should really try to accept.

  • Dude you can't even spell Al Qaeda let alone understand what the fuck is going on over there.

We created our own enemy in Iraq, the "insurgency" had nothing to do with Al Qaeda. Just people fighting each other and our occupation of their country.

We are doing the SAME THING in afghansitan with warlords, Talaban, villiagers, and elites all fighting US occupation and EACH OTHER.

But go ahead, allow the system to contol your mind and wage war in our name using our money. Just like Rome.

  • first off, in Iraq many of the fighters were from neighboring countries, so YES they were insurgents.

secondly, less then 100,000 civilians were lost.

now when you look back at wars in the past, and considering that most of it was waged in areas with dense civilian populations. The death toll is few. In fact, the low numbers would probably make for a world record. 6 years of major operations and only 4k dead on our side and less then 100k civilian deaths.

  • I love how you speak of Rome like it was some dark oppressive nation of ancient times

Taking history out of context by describing all of the things they did that are considered horrible by today's standards while completely ignoring the fact that they were the most civilized nation at the time. And Romans generally lived much better lives then their contemporaries....lol so yeah it would be nice for the USA to be like Rome. I want to live well and I don't apologize for that.

  • LOL... I'm comparing the situation to the FALL OF ROME.

Romans lived ok (some of them at least), but the empire fell mainly due to monetary problems and constant never ending military expenditure.

People complain healthcare reform might cost money (it actually saves more money) , but we're spending close to trillion (maybe more) each year on war and defense. We've sank the economy and ran a huge deficit. WE CANNOT SUSTAIN THIS.

Yet the masses are brainwashed into this spending.

  • yep rome fell,

and so will we, as a matter of fact, we are going down just like rome. And a lot of this is due an evergrowing corruption in Washington and the implementation of both foreign and domestic policies of which we simply can't sustain.

and I got news for you, it was a lot more then just the wars in afghanistan and Iraq

no, we don't spend a trillion per year, thats probably what we have spent so far.

and defense spending is always necessary to begin with.

  • my point is that all wars cost money, lives, and time

your point was that because Iraq cost us in all three categories that it was a failure, I simply pointed out that you're full of populist, red hairring bullshit.

  • OlympDick is in full retreat in Afghanistan.

What Bush did not do was double the number of troop deaths in one year and have a directionless policy that has resulted in the outright loss of territory that was paid for with blood of American combat troops.

Now I'm actually enjoying OlympDick's so called presidency because it has turned into a joke. Unfortunately for the American combat soldier, OlympDick's stupidity comes at their expense.

  • LOL...

"What Bush did not do was double the number of troop deaths in one year and have a directionless policy that has resulted in the outright loss of territory that was paid for with blood of American combat troops."

LOL... That's EXACTLY what Bush did in Iraq YEAR after YEAR.... Where have you been living? In a cave?

  • 10 "uh" 's in 50 seconds... lol. I can't barely stand to.. uh... listen to him.

  • I know. Bring back the eloquence of the Bushes.

Stay the course. Thousand Points of Light. Stay the course.

Now that was how a president should sound.

  • hahahahahahah TRUE TRUE. Well played sir. :P

I guess it's at least coherent and logical between the "uh's" hehe

  • It's tough decision for Obama to make in this situation. We have ridiculous amoutn of very fringe right-wing nut jobs that'll do anything to soil his image. Surely he wants to stop any war, but if he does pull out, you damn sure the right will start saying he didn't do anything to fight the terrorist, hence supporting the terrorist then-- he is a terrorist.

  • More coffins to come home if he makes the decision of sending more troops for no good reason.

  • wow ed henry.. man up would you? let's not be bush's jeff gannon, shall we?

  • wtf?! go back to the cave you stumbled out of!

  • Soviets: 500,000 troops in Afghanistan from 1979 until 1986 = war lost.

NATO : 68,000 troops in Afghanistan from 2001 until today. = war lost. Regardless if it's 20k troops or 40k, 60k or 100k this already = war lost.

    Neocons Plan of Attack

    -Lie

    -Invade

    -Torture / war crimes

    -Lose war

    -Retreat

    -Declare Victory.

    -Repeat....

  • We are not fighting AGAINST or ANNEXING Afghanistan. Therefore, we cannot lose to them. We are there to assist the development of that country's infrastructure and supporting its govt. It is possible that our efforts to help the Afghan people will not succeed, but I wouldn't bet against us OR the Afghan people. If WE lose, they will lose too.

  • I'm not even sure what the goal is. we need to get bon laden and mullah omar, and leave the place in any condition in which no one else plans attacks on the US. beyond that, there's no point in being there.

  • I couldn't agree more.

I bet mullah omar is not brown bagging a 40oz of Steel Reserve Black Label tonight....suckers!LOL

  • 90% of these conservatards you run into on youtube have no clue who mullah omar is.. they just know there's a war somewhere and, dang it, there for it (unless they have to go)

  • @KataVideo 90% of conservatives still think Iraq was behind 9/11.

    Ignorance is Right-Wing Erotica.

  • You mistake faith and dogma for wisdom and courage. You're scary.

  • See NWO Solution

  • Take your civil war talking, cousin-humping, turkey deep-frying, banjo-strumming, smelly retarded ass out to the shed Cletus and blow your brains out.

  • Only if you are advocating the death of a president.

If that is the case then you are likely a tea-bagger, so I pretty much know that you can't tie your shoe laces. The rest is irrelevant.

  • We will see what the Secret Service has to say about it.

  • @FixedNewsChannel You're such a fuckup.

  • You obviously have problems. We shall see how many more problems you have when the FBI look into your little threats.

  • @FixedNewsChannel Make it happen, frog boy. Delusional bastard.

  • fraud

  • THANK YOU OBAMA FOR YOUR RATIONALITY! Now the problem is living up to it.

  • So... what did he say next? Troops coming home or what?

  • he just said he will announce his decision in the next couple of weeks..

  • UNLIKE Mr. Bush

    Jerkoff

  • and? he destroyed America with his policies. That's jail time.

  • Oh yes. Protected New Orleans from Katrina. Passed all FBI airport bomb drills in our airports. And by pass I mean they could pass a bomb no problem with no resistance.

He protected our economy by keep interest rates low so everyone would want a loan. And eventually led to a Bank meltdown.

He falsified 2 wars. And overturned the constitution, magna carta, bill of rights. Gave life to the patriot act.

Yeah after 9/11 he did a bang up job. He could even go on vacation how well he did.

  • I never said I was for Obama. I just stated Bush did bad. He just left a mess.

Obama at least has the decency to try to not do that. Now whether he does that or not is a totally different question.

  • The death of 3000 people will always be the fault of George and Richard. Nobody else.

  • I couldn't agree with you more.

    Prison, now.

  • Fuck Bush.

Come on Cletus, wheel out Palin in the next election and you will see how seriously the whole republican party gets raped.

  • Are you fucking Bristol, how do you know?

    Hahahaha, FAIL.

  • Who ISN'T sleeping with her?

  • No, I asked if your were FUCKING Bristol, you retarded bed-wetter.

Nobody actually thinks that you are Bristol Palin, you delusional hick.

    God damn son.

  • My use of English is superior to your warped non-capitalization/ non-spaced retardation of language.

This is typical of Tea-Baggers, using insults instead of substance.

  • So wait, in that case... You ARE Bristol? It's such an honor. It's not everyday you meet on of the worlds most well known sluts.

  • Haha, are you 12? Oh man, you're just precious.

  • The dual citizen thing didn't clue you in to the fact that I might be, oh I don't know, married? I mean keep acting like a child though. It's hilarious to watch. Hell, you're a microcosm for the entire republican party right now.

  • Project much? :D

  • Haha, oh the personal attacks. It's when you know you've lost an argument and you just want to shout, "YOU SUCK" or "YOU LIE".

I don't think you could fail any harder, and then you do.

  • Oh hardly, I'm flattered you read, Bristol.

  • "the more loudly and vigorously you rail against something, the deeper your desire for it."

By you own words. You either are her or want to be her. Don't deny your *desires*.

  • Better than Bristol Palin ANY DAY.

  • Aw, did I strike a nerve making fun of your idol?

  • Anyway, it's been a fun day of trolling the tubes. Hope you can come to terms with your (vast) problems. Bed for me.

  • Thanks! Have fun never amounting to anything!

  • So is that a hint he's considering withdrawing? Cause the war in Afghanistan hasn't even really begun yet. Even if he gets a second term, it probably wouldn't be done. I haven't made up my mind on this issue. Seems like a lose-lose either way. I'm just debating which of the two losses is better.

  • naval military armada

  • Obama is trying to clean alot mess The idiot bush left, and that takes some time.

  • @Waranle LOL... Bush did it.

  • In thees country we dun speak MERICAN. *hooork* *pat-ooey* Ifin' you don't lawk it you can geeet out.

Seriously though, diction? This is the argument we're having?

  • For someone so admit about English, the concept of irony SOARS above your head at mach one.

  • Dual citizen actually. Again, this is the discussion you're having? You can't win on points so you attack diction? That's really sad.

  • ... Because you did. I did as a counter to you being an anal retentive tool. It's a back and forth, do keep up.

I'm looking up at your other comments. All I see is fail.

  • Stop these lie´s!! He never claimed to be against the wars, he said he was against stupid wars, and said if he becomes the president he will leave iraq and put the resources to Afghanistan.

  • Yeah, because you would have just pulled out all the troops out of both Iraq and Afghanistan and magically dealt with all the criticism that would have come from the right when the Taliban built up their forces again.

  • I agree, he should get them out.

However, don't get confused. Obama never promised to get troops out of AFGHANISTAN. It was IRAQ that he promised to get them out of. He pretty much said he would be even more aggressive in Afghanistan.

And he had to, because even though it makes no sense to you, or me, he probably would have lost the election had he promised to get troops out of both, & McCain would be president, and there would be no end in sight for either of them.

  • he never said he would pull the troops from afghanistan. Only Iraq, and he said he would put those troops into afghanistan because he believed the real war was there. At least know what you're talking about. Jeez
