I think you fail to grasp the idea of this episode which is that you get a ton of car for the XJ but at the same time, for those who can't afford that luxury car, there are some nice alternatives for a low price point where they can still have a practical car with some some great features. BTW, I have a Scion tC which is an economic car, yet still fun to drive. Gotta love people who like to shoot their mouths off without any clear thought of the premise.

My intial thought when i saw the title was; this is gonna be really stupid, WHY would compare these cars. Then i realized, get the most afforadable sporty everyday drive (tC) the most economical affordable midsize sedan (Elantra) and the most luxurious affradable sedan and review them in 1 video. I own a 2011 tC and the only complaint I have is the crappy interior. The only saving grace about the inside is how all the instruments face the driver, a style that seems to be missing in a lot of today's cars. The performance is what you expect, a relatively sporty car, but does not feel like a true sports car because it isn't. The sound though, does sound like a sports car. Easily one of the best sounding cars compared to my neighbors! Love that low rumble in the low RPMs...

the nissan juke is the sportiest car u can buy for that price... it aso gets the same mileage in the city as the scion gets on the highway!!! plus the juke has a hatchback so its way more practical as well!!!

The nissan juke and the scion tc both get 31mpg on the highway so idk where you got that fact from. and plus the scion tc is also a hatchback. lastly, the juke is actually less "pratical" than the scion tc because it has less cubic feet of luggage room.

@TopGear759 I use to have a mk5 GTI, it was a disappointment man. I traded it in for a 2011 tC, but mostly because it can do everything a VW cant in a performance perspective at least. This car can make more power on stock internals then a 2.0T engine, and it can go beyond that with forged internals. When i had my GTI i use to crap on all the tc's i ran into (street or track), i was also a german fanboy but i learned to respect all cars and drivers... ricer or not.

@brettahlin FYI, I Have always considered the Volkswagen Golf GTI to be one of the finest cars not only in its class, but in several classes. We try to approach our videos from the regular consumer’s perspective and rarely have a chance to fully exploit or expose every competitor. Honestly, I think the GTI and possibly the Jetta GLI will be nearly impossible to beat. Sadly, they are kind of expensive and out of or comparative bracket. Thanks for watching!

I honestly hate the way it feels as a stock car. But thats what the aftermarket is for.
