  • It must be so hard to lose someone close. I wish no one close to me dies, but I know one day I'll have to experience it. RIP Eddie

  • This is a wonderful and heartbreaking rendition of the song.. Thanks

  • Beautiful song, beautiful story, may your brother rest in peace up in heaven with my loving dad.

  • Thank you for your comment. Eddie would have loved it.

  • I enjoyed this! That first photo also is wonderful! God bless!

  • I LOVED THE SONG VERY WELL. i LISTENED EVERYTIME AND ANYTIME IT IS PLAYED. I DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL NOW THAT IT IS RAY PRICE WHO SING THIS SONG. I PLAYED AND SAVED ALL THE SONGS OF THE SAME TITLE IN MY PC. THANKS FOR LOADING THE ORIGINAL SONG.

  • I love you Eddie..

  • Wonderful job. You're brother had a wonderful voice. May God grant him rest. Take care, and God Bless you.

    The Preacherman.

  • I thought it was Ray Price at a much younger age and it puzzled me as this song was not released yet when Ray was at a much younger age.

Your brother did a masterful job and I am sure that if Ray Price has heard his version, Ray just grins.

  • @beaconmike Im glad youo enjoyed his song. Eddie never tried to sing until about 5 or 6 years before his death. He would have loved your comment.

  • @beaconmike i think this is beautiful i wish i could get help to do this for my husband he sang as satan as ray he sang pro with blackwood brothers i love to share his music with more this was our love song.....is there somewhere i can learn this set up thank it is so nice.

  • @MyCovie I did not create this video, but rather only commented on it. What I can tell you is that if you get Windows movie maker, you should be able to create your own minuets like this one, by uploading the music and pictures together that you want and you can post your stuff to youtube.

  • Glad I happened to stumble across this video. I am sorry about the recent loss of your brother - he did a very nice job singing this Ray Price song..as you have posting this..what a wonderful tribute. It is amaising how the marriage of picture and a song set the tone. thanks

  • @rockyrmt Glad you enjoyed it. Eddie loved it when I read him a comment. Thank You

  • @bulkmail1 eddies eyes looked so lovely

  • im 17 and when i hear this beautiful song and then think about lady gaga and todays popular music . . . i cry inside. Whatever happened to respectable music? I want to go back to those days so bad.

  • @Exodus3003 Not much I can add to that very true comment. I am in total agreement. I lived those days and they were the best days God gave us. I am so lucky. Thank you for your wonderful comment.

  • @bulkmail1 yeah i was first exposed to this music when my grandfather played it in his car all the time on the way to high school lol he was stuck in the past but for good reason. with the way pop culture is going now i think im gonna b stuck in the past too! lol

  • @Exodus3003 Those of us that grew up in the late 40's and 50's didn't know have wonderful it was. It is extremely hard for us to look back at what has been done to our country and way of life. I think the big difference is people cared for people. Families ate most meals together, played together, listen to the radio shows together. While TV and computers have increased our knowledge tremendously. They have both slaughtered our morals and family.

  • @bulkmail1 yeah true good way of putting it

  • @Exodus3003 this is how its meant to be. this music is "dead" now so these are gems, like diamonds..older, retro stuff will always be cool, and the times will always get worse, the past better, pop is meant to suck...

  • @gasper47 true true

  • This is great

  • This man knew how to interpret lyrics. I got to see him a couple of years ago at Renfro Valley. In his 80's he still could interpret even if his range had diminished some.

  • @Dapylil .That's how good Eddie sang..you think it's Ray Price!

  • Eddie, I don't know if you will remember me. My name is Sharon Woolfolk Buck. Our parents were friends in Childress. I remember being at your house and playing with Jerry and Dianne. I am so sorry to hear about your illness. I really enjoyed looking at the video. I am going to the Childress Hi Sc '63 reunion. Take care, Sharon

  • Jerry, this is so nice of you to do this for Eddie. I have known him for many years and just loved to hear him sing or play the trumpet. He sure does a fine job with this Ray Price tune. Thanks again and tell him that Robert Reynolds from Childress said hello and give him my best wishes..RR

  • Ray Price would be proud of the way you did this song. I think it is a really good rendition of the greatest country singer's song

  • Jerry, thank you so much for sharing these pictures, and the recording of Eddie singing this lovely song. It was so nice to see the older pictures of him, as I remember him, and the pictures of him with his family in later life. Eddie was a senior my freshman year at CHS, and he was one of those us band "young-uns" really looked up to. Please convey my best regards and wishes to Eddie when you get the chance.
