  • Love this show. Reminds me of childhood years in early 1970's. But I notice one error... On the basis that the "London" on the sign post is intended to be in the UK... The car would have the steering wheel on the Right hand side and be driving on the LEFT!!

  • oh and fruitbat,...love ya handle :)

  • yes, I'm with you...

what about the opening sets and the car and stuff....it's not rubbish, all the bearings and mechanisms are proper!

    this is SERIOUS quality work!!!

  • How Gerry Anderson isn't recognized more as one of the most visionary TV creators is beyond me. Shame his only (yet provocative) movie bombed and he never made other movies. Fuck you,George Lucas. You're not half the dreamer that Gerry Anderson is!

  • I'm 53 now and this takes me back to my childhood. I grew up with Gerry Anderson's wonderful creations, such as Joe 90, Supercar, Stingray, Thunderbirds etc. The sixties was where 'it' was at! Never bettered!!! Dig that music! It still gives me the shivers up the spine with excitement! :-)

  • Go Joe 90.

  • Poor Joe deprived of his childhood.

  • Dad, do you think I should be some James Bond, licensed to fucking kill, Dad?

Yes Joe, just go for it, kill the fucking bastards. Just listen......

    social workers......

  • The memories.........

  • *like

  • Lole if you looked this up because you heard it on the YoGPoD :D

  • Scientific experimentation on children ! Gotta love the 60's ! LOL One of the best shows !

  • Takes me back to happy days,

if you where one of the kids who wore specs at school you inevitably ended up with the nickname "Joe 90"

  • Tales me back to happy days,

if you where one of the kids who wore specs at school you inevitably ended up with the nickname "Joe 90"

  • i remember i couldnt wait to get home to see this from school never mind CGI and all that shite bring back gerry anderson and maby l the kids today wouldn,t be little shits

  • TAKES ME BACK TO WHEN I WAS A LAD

  • TV Masterpiece!!

  • I just love all of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's Supermarionation shows - they created their own reality. Every aspect of each show was made to the highest possible standard and quality - the puppets, the sets, the music, the direction, lighting, props, everything. They were truly an art form in their own right, and stand the test of time, even when viewed from the perspective of the 21st century with all the wonders achievable and available to us through modern CGI.

  • Was anyone else disappointed with the Terrahawks series Gerry did? This looks timeless even with all the silly 60's referrences, terrahwaks- where did he go wrong?

Anyway thank you for uploading this- I've never seen it- I see this as Gerry last greatest puppet show

  • I havent seen Joe 90 for forty years.I used to wish i had the machine to put brain patterns into me especially at school. What a fantastic show. All the knowledge that is lost when someone dies could live forever if we only had a machine like this. The Big rat is prob alive somewhere in a bunker under cheyenne mountain.

  • I sorry but would'nt you remeber sleeping with you mother?

  • Poor wee Joe is just getting used like a little rent boy eh!!'But i dont even remember daddy' HAHA

  • OK, so, the youngters these days are more cleverer than us, Joe 90 type shit.

  • Where was Esther Ranzen and her Childline in 1968 when Joe 90 needed it?

  • Joe, don't be scared.

I am shitting myself Dad! What the fuck are you doing to me?

  • A professor that conducts mind-altering experiments on his own nine-year-old son? I think not! Joe isn't the professor's son, but his adopted son for the purpose of BIG RAT experiments. This would explain why Joe's accent differs so much from his fathers. I just feel sorry for the other 89 Joes :(

  • @ChrisKempson

It is not real life, it is a marrionette cartoon from that england, London.

I am Joe 81 by the way - I was a bit of a disappointment, as with the other 89 before Joe number 90....

  • @ChrisKempson

Yes folks, he actually had 90 biological sons until he was happy. The rest of us were sent to poor orphanages - but that what is needed at times to sort the world out - I don't hold it out on my bastard dad, that is how scientists tend to be.

  • Mr Anderson clearly doesn't run with the in crowd. If so, he'd have won an OBE or Knighthood years ago.

  • Transfering all his sexual experiences to a child? WTF

  • He has acquired an extremely difficult ability: not to blink

  • @ganzmavag rotflmfao good one

  • By far the best kids' SF adventure ever...I only hope that kid knows what he's in for. Still, he's a brave young man. I salute you, Joe 90.

  • Thanks.

  • Just listening to the music makes the hairs on my wooden leg stand up. Thank god I was a kid in the 1960's and not now. You should see the crap that 8 year olds watch now!

  • I bet this show used to make NAMBLA members "moist."

  • love how the hands are real when theyre interacting with objects, weird but cool lol

  • fuck CGI, I wanna live in the 60's!

  • fantastic and still is

  • I remember vividly those days...There was so many hand-made details that it kept your mind busy and Mom happy...

  • what a neat show

i've never even heard of this

  • JOE "your'e kidding me right ? , you want me to step in what ?"

  • can any one remember an episode where joe escapes out of a bedroom window

  • @garymixer It sounds familiar, but, I am not really sure...Was he hanging from a rope made out of bed sheets?

  • @1899lpv come to think of it i think he was do you know the episode its like a needle in a haystack tring to find it

  • WOW!!

Fantastic theme music - wonderful colours and so English

Joe 90 is currently being repeated on SKY & Virgin TV across the UK. Excellent broadcasts - prints look brand new.

    Thanks so much for posting!

  • hmmmm, a father performing scientific experiments on his son. not sure whether you'd get away with broadcasting that particular concept now.

  • BOY I WAS 6 YEARS OLD THEN

  • what year was this?

  • @Dillboy It was made in 1968, although it is set in the future (either 2012-13 or 1998, depending on which source you consult).

  • The only reason this seems dated is because no-one bothers to make shows for kids that are as good as this any more. Can you imagine anyone today putting so much EFFORT in? The detail, effects, story, music and everything else in these Anderson productions were just amazing. But these days they have realised that kids will watch any old rubbish, so they don't bother with the effort or expense to make kids' shows actually GOOD any more.

  • way ahead of his time !

  • The road sign says "London 24 Miles". Was this done by a yank?

  • @SanDiegoArtNut Road signs in Britain are always in miles, even to this day. In fact, it is a legal requirement...

  • Impulse Galvanoscope Record And Transfer...what does that spell? BIG RAT.

  • Whatever happened to those actors ? I bet they never worked again they are so wooden .

  • @mikahaga: actually it's gerry AND SYLVIA anderson can't you read???

  • Psychedelic Puppet Geeks! Lol!

  • CGI is rubbish compared to this stuff

  • @papalaz4444244 CGI is rubbish compared to anything (but I get your point)

  • @papalaz4444244 yeah..back then they had to do this the "hard" way.... but I think we should re-release this in the states....kids of this generation dont know what they're missing out on..

  • youve gotta love gerry anderson great ieas and inventions and more

  • epic theme tune!
