Just to add an info, it's usually not a bad idea to build evolution chamber right front of sunken.(or sunken behind hatchery) (especially if your opponent is a zerg/protoss) That way, if melee attackers try to attack sunken, they'd have to get past evolution chamber which delays the time it takes to get to sunken, and also it's harder to surround sunken. (like it's harder for 12 zerglings to attack 1 sunken at once) Just to inform people. It's called 'Sim-city'.

I can tell right off the bat this map is Showdown. Don't play Blizzard maps - whether you are a newbie or an expert (but experts know better). They are imbalanced for certain races (almost always favoring terran), have little strategy to them, and all-around suck.

well, i started playing starcraft, and i thought i was all good until i started playing battlenet. i try to join noob only games but i still get beaten by noobs all the time. i think my record is like 7 wins 35 losses or something. can someone tell me, do average or good player use hotkeys to do pretty much everything? do they use them for units, or usually for just building and managing multiple bases effectively?

I think good players use hotkeys whenever they can since it makes mouse slip-ups less likely and it's faster than clicking the buttons. Hotkeys might not be your only problem, though. You'll probably want to go on a good starcraft site (maybe teamliquid wiki) and learn a build order or two.

I'm not sure, but I guess you could put one hotkey to each production building and keep them bunched together so you can click on each one and train a unit. You'll need most of your hotkeys for units if you're massing enough.

I play toss and early game I'll hotkey maybe the first three or four gates 3-6. Later in the game though when I have more units I simply hotkey units and use the F2-F4 keys to recall the areas where my gates are and macro that way.

I'm not sure, I think 8. I recorded this over a year ago, and I'm guessing I did that for some earlier sunken colonies? If you count the one that turned into the pool, this is a very crappy overpool.

You delegate a squad of 12 by first selecting your 12 units, then pressing and holding down ctrl, then clicking a number.

So example, I select 12 lings, then I do this:

(hold)ctrl+1

Select another 12 units:

(hold)ctrl+2

Then you can send both squads of 12 to move in unison by first clicking on number 1, sending to attack, click 2, send to attack, and there you have 24 units moving in unison.

As far as I know, this is how its done.
