so, I was wondering ;what is the best that HVX can record to tape?I realise what u can record to p2 system but not so sure what is max quality u can record to tape.
Hi, I live this cam but does it really keep going out of focus...I want it only for SD because the HD is pixelshifted...SD on this looks better than SD on the DVX so might buy it :)
Are you crazy?? The hvx can record full 1080p 4:2:2 footage to solid state memory. Good god, what else could you want? 1080p with 4:2:2 colorspace smokes the HELL out of SD. You obviously don't understand too much; the reason the footage is going out of focus is from the 35mm adapter. Buying a hvx for sd use is like buying a lambourgini to drive to your letterbox and back. Do some research, you're killing me!
Hi...I've been reading up that the HVX isn't full HD but uses pixel shift...but like i said i dont mind buying the HVX for the SD as it's a higher pixel than the DVX...I think it's like 940. So you do some research PLEASE
I know it's pixel shift. I know it's not full raster 1080, I didn't sat it was. The significance was that it records full frame 1080 in progressive scan frame rates. It puts out great sd footage in dvcpro50(tapeless); more resolution and colorspace than the dvx. I have done my research. If you are recording to tape, the hvx has slightly more resolving power, that's it. So you might as well get the dvx if you only want dv25 to tape. Sorry for the confusion. I'm just crazy about the hvx. Cheers.
