For your iPhone or iPad, take a look at Smart Seat -- the best seating chart and attendance app available, and the latest version allows photos in the chart!
This video was extremely helpful! One of my tasks as an intern is to make a seating chart for an important event, and I was very worried as to how I would go about making one. Thank you so much for the tutorial!
the tutorial is good ... but i cant see it clearer ... its a bit blurry so its hard to see what part of excel your working with, though i can guess what you're clicking by looking at the picture ... anyway, thanks for posting the tutorial!
This is insanely basic stuff lol, Ive designed many nested logic functions and it doesn't take much effort the whole thing seems a bit slow to me. O.K if your perhaps slightly retarded tho, or of the older genration.
Hi there, great set of tutorials - thank you. Could you please advise how to keep one area highlighted and then highlight another area at the same time as in the beginning of this video? Thank you
When you keep the Ctrl key pressed down you can select different areas with the mouse, and whatever you select will remain selected until you release the Ctrl key.
Well, you could use it to do a diagram of your house -- or you could make a map -- or you could do a layout of your living room furniture -- or you could make a flow chart. It's just a technique to make graphical representations inside Excel.
If you do what I do I do...you really need this! I happen to sit a couple of dozen people for conferences...and they are so anal! They want the same spot EVERYTIME! well, they are VIP's and they each have a seating name place..let me tell u..If I happen to be sick, all the admin assistants scramble to place their names right! and this assholes get pissy...so guess ?... I used this and there is no more anal pain form those assholes! so it is very helpful!

thanks you so much for posting this! i watched the first one, too, just before this... they were both very helpful. this is much less time consuming than having to go to a computer class (and much more simpler). i'm refreshing old excel skills and introducing myself to new ones in order to qualify for a job! thank you!!
I like the video, but I was baffled by one thing. At 8:09 when you are messing with the clip art of Suzie it quickly changes to a real picture of someone. Was this a jump in video? Cause the audio didn't seem to change. Just curious.
Yes, sorry. I wanted to show what it would look like with a real picture but I didn't want to lengthen the video. I should have explained it a little better. :)
When I was in California I was credentialed in 19 subjects (History, Geography, Anthropology, Government, etc. as well as Vocational Computers). When I got to Tennessee we discovered that, although there's a reciprocity agreement between California and Tennessee, my credentials didn't transfer. So I am a manager at a hospital and slowly tacking on credentials here in Tennessee. I am now credentialed in History and I just took the Praxis exams for Business Education and Geography.

I created socialtables . com. It's free and drag-and-drop. You might want to check it out instead of Excel.
