Will, face it, what mav is saying is true. When action is going on or you're outside the FPS is usually 15 or lower. Upgrade your graphics card.

Why would I waste money on upgrading my GPU when it is perfectly fine, it does not run at 15fps or lower, it's more like 15fps minimum, usually around 25 which IMO is ok for Crysis,,, I would not play it if it did run 15fps...

You didn't read my comment. WHEN ACTION IS GOING ON. Between 0:49 to 0:51 it drops to 15 FPS, at 1:39 to 1:40 it drops, at 2:28 it drops, at 2:35 to 2:39 it drops, and there are probably many more but I can't be bothered to look through the video for them. But I agree most of the time it is about 25, but it drops during the action to about 16 or lower.

Anyway, GPUs don't cost that much, surely?

I did read it, fraps causes the fps to dip a little lower than normal aswel sometimes.

GPU's cost allot, when you cant afford them....

bcuz this 2010 Crysis 2 is coming out and IS MONSTROUSLY GRAPHICALLY INTENSE and you will get 10- fps if you play on Ultra High

Why don't you just get a GTX260? you can get C2D CPU's for cheap these days, I'd save up for a CPU but either way you will get good performance even with that CPU been a bottleneck.

Think I'll be OK? I don't want like 15 FPS (as someone said in an example) with that card. The thing is, I can run all HIGH settings on my 7900 GS if I have the ress down to 800x600. Smooth, just a bad framerate (so it's like I play in slow-mo). I don't understand why my CPU is considered such a "bad" processor.

Cant send a video as my cam dont last long enough.

1: All CPU's have multiplyers, for higher FSB you need a lower multi at the same clock.

2: Most CPU's can do as much FSB as the mobo can do, I'm running my E8500 at 4Ghz, 400FSB which is Quad pumped so 2Ghz FSB.

3: The NB voltage needs to be raised to cope with the FSB, SB does too sometimes.

Be VERY careful with FSB Termination, too much voltage on that and ur CPU frys, yea 9x400 and you got 3.6Ghz, use Orthos to stress test to make sure ur stable, 8 hours is good, you might crash, if so raise the voltage slightly and DO NOT go over 1.5V

NB controls all the data flow I think, CPU to ram and all that, SB is for devices like SATA and stuff I think, there is a chart somewhere. What mobo u got or gonna get?

4: Well when you up the fsb, you up the memory too, and if your memory is unstable, then you can try upping the voltage and changing timings from say 4-4-4-12 to 5-5-5-15 which should make it more stable.

I dont know the average, but its smooth most of the time, I am using a cfg at the moment that is slightly better and its running into the teens in some parts but I think its a bug atm, need to wait for new drivers, I'll post a link in the description.

If you think way better is lower fps then yes it does, in the video I'm getting about 30-50fps under normal conditions, its limited to 30in the video as I'm using fraps but you allready knew that. Yours is running waaaay quicker yet every bench you have done is slower by miles I dont think you know how to configure windows and your PC.

I overclocked using ATi tool, I flashed my 4870 with the ASUS TOP Bios, the CCC Overdrive overclock limit is now at 900, but it tops out at 820Mhz, some games are stable at 830, the ram is crap but not limited by the bandwidth as its GDDR5 so no matter.

Stop using 1024x768, I know it makes the game playable with AA but its such a low res and looks crap on LCD's.

Should be, just watch the clocks, anything over 800 be carefull off, and 1100 on the ram dont work for all. Flash yer bios if you got a floppy drive and dare to do it.
