@thecrazymoose98 casio gzone brigade, got it, love it, left in rain and clay found 2 weeks later when i went back to ranch and still had enough battery to last a week. very basic and nearly indestructable, trust me, ther also make a smartphone now. i wanna try that now
on my person? - wallet, keys, phone, light (at least 60 lumens), folding knife, .380 or 9mm pistol... if I'm leaving the house my bag has the LM Wave, trauma kit, CPR shield, small cam, batteries, snacks, water, glucose gels w/ instructions on how to admin. them to me, write in the rain note pad, marker-pen-pencil-highlighter, iodine, flint & steel, compass, 10’ of gorilla tape. Depending on what I’m doing I may add any of the following- back up gun, cuffs, tablet computer, map, etc.
well i carry a fenix ld20 2 knives a leatherman wave wallet pen pocket medical kit and keys with a kubaton on them plus a glock 21 inside waistband holster
My EDC is Wallet, Keys, Phone, Pocket Knife, Medication, LED Torch, Sunglasses (Can't go anywhere in day time without them. I'm sure I'm Nocturnal), and a pen and notepad. Not allowed to carry concealed firearms in Australia, but not really a big problem. I've yet to need my knife, let alone a gun, but the problems is, you never know when you might need it. Better to have it and never need it, etc. But less chance I'll need one here I suppose.
To continue: Were I allowed to carry a concealed pistol, it would be my SIG P230 loaded with P+ rounds. I dare say those rounds will get the assailant's attention as well as the 38s coming out of your snubbie, plus it's a bit less bulky, has 7+1 capacity, and a spare mag will reload in a flash (should things continue to be exciting). Normally I don't advise people buy .380 ACP firearms (it's a finicky round -- cheap guns are prone to bad cycling), but the P230 is an unflappable jewel ($ talks).
You clearly recognize quality, so you carry that Benchmade. But I do think you might change your own mind about *which* Benchmade to carry. Am I right? I think you've reviewed the Benchmade Triage and were greatly impressed. Obviously, it does weigh more than what you're currently carrying (not that it's what I'd call "heavy"). I have the 916 in orange because I take Triage seriously enough that I expressly *don't* want the pointed blade of the 915.

@sootch00 Each day is different (and I've been thinking I need an updated EDC video), but I am able to add more to my system when I am not going to work, so I'll list my base EDC.
Kahr PM45 in a Desantis Tuck This II and a spare mag
Leatherman Wave
Altoids tin with various items including a mini bic lighter and band aids
Wallet, phone, keys, etc.
I also carry children's themed band aids in my wallet, because my young nieces and nephews invariably want them when I see them.
Sootch, I have the exact same cell phone and maxpedition case for it! Love that thing - I've chucked it at a brick wall and nothing even got damaged - great piece of kit.
the rest of my edc is my keys with a streamlight key mate flash light - my sog trident folding knife - a black pen - and my maxpedition wallet.
Great video. My EDC are, keys with pen light, the name is woren off flashlight, a tach knife, paricord bracelet, and either a Kel Tec P 11 or a Taurus Millennium Pro PT 111. Once in awhile a .380 Taurus
car key house key, wallet ( maxpedition spartan), SW 442 carried in a Galco Miami classic, I carry on a rotation three different knives, Knive 1 Spyderco endura 4 tan, Knive 2 Case canoe amber bone, Knive 3 Case sod buster Jr. I also carry a leatherman wave with pocket clip rides in left butt pocket and i carry on rotation two different flashlights 4sevens quark mini 123 and a quark x 123^2 tactical. And the great Iphone.
Skeletool CX, pendrive on mini Leatherman knock-off tool, keys on Comtech Stinger, Energizer penlight, metal match, Samsung Galaxy S2 in GPS holster, credit card holder with SwissCard, wallet with P38 style can opener, adhesive bandages, notepaper, pen, bobby pin and sawblade. Sometimes pepperspray and gas pistol.
I don't know what phone you have but new led flashes on cell phones will cut down on 2 of your EDC items. android apps have a lot of led flashlight apps that are bright.. how is the retention on you g-code holster? I have a rugger sp101 I'm looking for a IWB holster that will retain that weight for someone that is active. my last EDC knife was a Benchmade now a carry a CRKT for about 1/4 the cost. I can replace a well used blade without the guilt of throwing something of beauty away.
great idea great video! ipod, usb, charger, cell, cell charger, headphones, for ipod cell, lighters, and taurus tcp 380, keys to y car and extra keys for y room door and club to my car, chl license, drivers license, chase debit card, wells fargo debit card, and a bag for spare change
@homeworksuks Ooops! Make that a JETBeam BA-10 flashlight. I ground off part of the tailcap, to expose the button, so I can use the Surefire/Rogers handgun hold.
@FriendofCat 5.11 has a new AAA flashlight for about $25 called the ATAC PLx. It has 69 Lumens for 3 hours and a great rubber switch that would be perfect for the SureFire/Rogers handgun hold. I handled one at Shooter's World in Phoenix.
I often switch the PF9 out for my new Walther PPQ and Vega holster when dressing for concealment/open carry. It's a total James Bond fanboy poser-ism but who cares. This setup is designed to be low profile but still provide for most of the essentials. Let me know what ya'll think.
@Vizzlemeister Side-note: the PF9 clip is the actual belt clip you can buy to secure it IWB w/out a holster... not a magazine. Had to clarify. I carry no extra magazines for the PF9 in my EDC.
Well, I'm not 21 yet, so no firearm atm (can't in my state). I carry a MINIMUM of my CRKT Delegate for everyday tasks, and I usually have a Cold Steel AK47 around for heavier duty utility and, god forbid, an emergency defense knife. I always have my wallet and my phone, and most of the time I carry a pen. I don't have a good quality flashlight or multi-tool yet, but those are next on my list.
I would replace your swiss army with a leatherman mini multi tool. Its about the same size and the pliers come in very handy many times. I would also would get rid of your mini keyring flashlight since you carry another flashlight
@TONY45066 I can agree with your comment about replacing the SAK with a leatherman, but a little bit of redundancy isn't a bad thing, especially since that key-ring light probably weighs 1/10th of an ounce.
S&W M&P .40, Wallet with various cards for contacts. My Iphone, S&W "tactical" Tanto folding knife, keys with small knife, gerber Bear Grills pocket knife... I dont have to much weight on my keys because to much can damage your ignition. My holster is a Blackhawk CC
I carry a Kershaw Skyline, Streamlight Stylus (pen light). my wallet, my keys, a phone (LG Optimus) and a pen. I would carry a pistol if I was old enough
what type of Cell Phone are you using? I remember your prior video about a Military grade phone. Who makes it and what type of phone plan is available for it?
I should also add, that I'm never more than 50' from my day pack. I keep a first aid kit, small electrical repair kit, dry clothes, climbing straps and webbing, litghters, larger Princeton Tec flashlight, and a Cold Steel Kobun. Most of this gear is due to work situation but, it's quite handy to have around.
S&W model 10 K frame I live in Vermont, so I mostly carry open. This list will be changing shortly as I plan to pick up a Sig p250 compact and a quark mini.
1. Ruger LCP or SR9c (depending on clothing) 2. Preon 2 3. SOG Aegis 4. Leatherman Squirt PS4 5. Small bottle of hand sanitizer (I work in the medical field) 6. Chapstick 7. Wallet 8. Keys with Fenix E01
7. Glock 19 or 26 or LCP depending on what I'm wearing or where I'm going that day. Currently packing the 19 and the LCP. I have such a habit of sliding on the leatherman pouch and glock holster in the morning I feel naked without them on my belt. I usually use a Desbians OWB pancake holster with a cover garment.
I usually carry wallet, keys, nokia, some breath mints like sisu or fishermans friends and my opinel-knife. But nowdays i only carry keys and breath mints because i'm in military service.
Sootch! Great EDC...I am actaully picking up the same revolver. Did you ever consider carrying 10 extra .38 spl rounds on a 7.62 stripper clip. That is something I saw in a SoutherPrep1 video, just food for thought!

Cell phone, iPod, small amounts of cash, and house keys. I NEVER leave the house without these items. My key(s) are on a small wrench. It works as a keychain and as a tool
When in uniform I carry - 1. Keys (contain small gerber knife and small light) 2. Gerber Answer 3.25", 3. Leatherman Premium Sheath w/ leatherman charge, leatherman serac 2 light, and firesteel 4. notebook 5. pen 6. phone. When not in uniform I dont carry the Leatherman sheath or its contents.
Front pocket wallet from a company named "Money Clamp" (love it). keys, phone, 4sevens preon 2, Some knife, at the moment its either a Kershaw 7000 Breakout or Gerber Harsey air ranger. Glock 26.
Here's the items I carry 95%+ of the time. Cell phone, wallet, keys, spyderco delica 4, 4 sevens preon 2 & mini quark 123, leatherman charge titanium, Kabar TDI, small pocket sized fox labs spray, sidearm plus mag. The taclite pro pants just have soo much space....difficult when you wear jeans.
On my person a pathfinder watch, para cord bracelet, tactical pen, led flashlight, wallet, droid thunderbolt phone, leatherman supertool 300, sig p238 and 2 extra mags.
I carry my 1. wallet, 2. keys with a small, streamlight flashlight attached, 3. cell phone, 4. knife: Cold Steel AK47, 5. flashlight : Streamlight Stylus Pro, 6. a pen, 7. a small notepad, 8. a firearm with a spare magazine, 9. and a small bit of tape wrapped around a cut down hotel room key.
The tape idea was seen in The Nutnfancy Project here on YouTube. Something I never thought of, but comes in very handy. And people are always surprised to see that you have it when they need it.

I carry the following 1. Leatherman Wave. 2. Mtech folding knife 3. A first aid pouch 4. flashlight (2) 5. Small toiletry kit (deodorant, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, extra napkins and tissues.) 6. Eating utensils 7. Pen, pencil and notebook 8. Wallet, cell phone and mp3 player. I carry a lot of stuff because I use public transit and I can't just go into my vehicle and get more things. I also carry either a water bottle or travel mug. Thanks for the review.
I have a USB flash drive attached to my key ring. On it, I keep my emergency information - a list of my current meds & the dose and when I take everything, emergency contacts, insurance information, etc.
hi, just want to thank you right of the bat for the learning tools you provide, great stuff and i appreciate it! just one 2 part question on your edc vid.. how come you don't carry any fire starter or firstaid items? i'm just asking? again i want to say thank you. all the best, bo
I have the same phone you do. about 3 months ago a couple hair cracks showed up near the "z" and "send" buttons and over time the front plastic fell off. This doesn't bother me to bad, I had Duct Tape handy. As for what I carry dayily:
.Wallet, 3" knife and a larger 5 or 6 inch knife for a weapon if needed, pen, and my cell phone. No guns sadly, my boss won't let me carry at work, so my Ak-47 and glock 22 are always handy in the truck with the b.o.b.
@Charsept At night ,when it is dark, a weapon light allows you to identify a intruder or attacker clearly so you don't shoot someone you don't want to. For everyday carry a flash light can be used but it takes some practice to shoot accurately while holding a flash light. A weapon mounted light makes it easier but it is not as practical for say concealed carry.
As nice as it is to carry a firearm with you. A cell phone will more than likely be the one thing that saves your life on day. I think some people underestimate that.
To school I carry a light my fire 2.0 army necklace king cobra paracord bracelet with whistle and compass spec ops recon wrap altoids urban survival kit watch handkerchief phone holster blueline flashlight peanut lighter gerber clutch maxam lockback knife sak classic sd nail clippers telepen relay usb drive so led pico prybar
I don't really carry much with me most of the time. Wallet, keys, phone. That's pretty much it. The phone's camera flash doubles as a flashlight, the keys can double as an improvised weapon if need be, and...well....I never go anywhere without my wallet.
Keychain contains: Fox pealess whistle, Photon mini-light, Boy Scouts of America ferrocerium rod (small enough for keychain) and a piece of a hacksaw as a striker.
Cash, cellphone, credit card. debit card, second set of keys in case primary set is lost or locked up in my vehicle, NYPD retirement shield.
Also carry my wits about me. They're everywhere ; )
My EDC: Oakley Black leather wallet, Fossil Blue watch, paracord bracelet, 4Sevens Preon 1 S2, SOG mini Aegis Black TiNi, LaCie Cookey, SAK mini Champ, house keys, Leatherman Squirt PS4 and Juice S2, BIC mini lighter (i don´t smoke), BURT´S bees lip balm and a BlackBerry 9300 with OtterBox reflex case.
i would like to add a Jericho FBL 9mm pistol but here it cost USD$3.000.
I carry on my person a: Spyderco Tenatious, wallet, mag lite mini led, Leatherman Super Tool 300, mini survival kit, kubaton, hand sanatizer, zippo, and a bandana.
Glock27 gen4 with Truglo TFO sights(very bright and distinct in daylight or at night!) in a Tucker "answer" iwb, Spyderco FFG delica (2.3 oz!), Victorinox "cadet", and 4sevens Preon2 with twisty endcap...just ordered the new Preon P0, you should review this Sootch! i also like your idea of seperate keychains...so i will attach the cadet with the P0 and have my house/car keys on its own ring. and lastly a iphone4 in magpul field case and of course my billfold, a LV my gf gave me for my birthday:)
I had a little 22 Short NAA derringer. Happened to leave it in my car one night (I violated my own rule against that). Some SOB thugs stole it, a knife and two cell phones and an AC adapter out of my car. I now have a driveway alarm. You can walk in but you might not walk out now and I leard my lesson. Now have 40 cal at the ready. The thugs are working the neighborhoods for whatever they can get their hands on now days in the New Orleans Metro area.

TONY45066 3 weeks ago
@TONY45066 I can agree with your comment about replacing the SAK with a leatherman, but a little bit of redundancy isn't a bad thing, especially since that key-ring light probably weighs 1/10th of an ounce.

Most of this gear is due to work situation but, it's quite handy to have around.

No guns sadly, my boss won't let me carry at work, so my Ak-47 and glock 22 are always handy in the truck with the b.o.b.

could someone explain to me the importance of having a light on / with a firearm
Charsept 3 weeks ago
@Charsept - So you can see shit.
linkdead14 3 weeks ago
@Charsept At night ,when it is dark, a weapon light allows you to identify a intruder or attacker clearly so you don't shoot someone you don't want to. For everyday carry a flash light can be used but it takes some practice to shoot accurately while holding a flash light. A weapon mounted light makes it easier but it is not as practical for say concealed carry.
