Pastor Patrick Wooten is a very good COGIC preacher.  He has an excellent hoop and he promotes the denomination. I listened at two messages.

ok..just a minor correction the name is Wooden. He preaches and lives GOD FRIST it is more than just about COGIC it's about JESUS!! Alot of this stuff is just formalities but at Upper Room I have seen cancers healed, blind see, etc...God is truely wonderful.

It did, but notice that none of the comments talk about worshiping Christ - nor does the service clip - all the praise and adoration is heaped upon the Organization - i.e. COGIC. Doesn't God say that He won't "share" his glory with anyone? I definitely don't want to argue ( kinda defeats the Christian purpose ) but just asking.

This was the 100th yr of COGIC the service was long there is nothing wrong about honoring our leaders in fact the Bible speaks about it. This was one of those times we showed honor to our leader. The Cogic is known for mighty moves of God however even JESUS had 1 devil within his tweleve so imagine how many we may have. At my local COGIC church we stand when pastor walks in BUT he let's us know every time to SHOW the lord much more than we show him because Jesus died on cross not him.

One question - What does this worship of a man made organization or men who parade in Old Testament regalia have to do with knowing Christ? Dont' get anoyed - its a sincere question.

This is not worship of a man it is honoring him that is why our posture is standing, when you worship you dare not stand you bow. That is why every knee shall bow to Jesus Christ....we worship Christ and honor our leaders. Hope this helps.

I went to Bountiful Blessings on Official Day, we had a time in the Lord. Haven't missed a Holy Convocation since 1995 and don't plan to miss another one. Every round goes Higher and Higher. Been in this Grand Ole Church of God in Christ since 1968

i think i woke up around 6am we went to temple of deliverace Bishop Patterson's Nephew really can preach and it was the most sacred service ever

We have to pray for Presiding Bishop Charles Blake, especially those who are members of the Church of God in Christ, so that he may fulfill the visions that God has given him for our church, and get it to where it needs to be in God. We still have a PROMISING FUTURE ahead of us.
