Excellent video. You hit the nail right on the head with this one. Diaz is not the best welterweight on the planet but he is an exciting fighter and that's why he's developing a decent fanbase. That being said he isn't going to be fighting a can like his other wins and will surely lose. Where will Diaz go from there? Really liked your video, bud. Sweet, simple and articulate. We're pretty much in agreement regarding GSP's fight with Diaz. As for Silva, I don't think that fight will happen. Stylistically, it's a tough fight but last I remember, Georges can't really bulk up to a weight he feels would be competitive in the middleweight division. I think the highest he said he got was around 192 lbs but he couldn't keep the weight on. It'll be interesting to see how things pan out though.

i think that GSP will take this fight just based on Nick Diaz's trouble with wrestlers in the past when he was a part of the UFC. and the fact that nobody sticks to gameplan like GSP. Everyone seems to fall into Diaz's pace... gets dragged down then get the crap beat out of them.... you can't expect GSP to fall into that. Diaz will really need to rock GSP but him on his ass to really through him off his gameplan... should be a great fight .

Everything GSP does is for the eyes of the judges, throws jabs & superman punches to score points, goes for TDs just to score points (lays & prays). Yeah, got to agree to that. Georges could not finish Hardy but Lytle did. I compare Georges to Klitscho bros, they are doing their jobs and winning their fighjts cause of their size and strenght, not because their skills so to speak. Georges is an atlet good in wrestlig, thats the way he wins the fights, not because he is technically like Diaz.

My prediction, Diaz will finish Georges in three rounds, Diaz has the guts, tools and confidence to succed.

Nick Diaz is like the Cain Velasquez of the Walter Weights i think. His endurance is amazing and GSP likes to play it safe now, Nick Diaz won't let him do that but GSP's cardio is amazing as well as Diaz.

And this dude is not mentioning Diaz trains with Jake Shields and i'm sure he's going over a few things with Diaz to prepare him for this fight.

As far as GSPs strong point is wrestling, Diaz has Jake Shields in his team to train against, if Jake Shields vs GSP was pretty much a stale mate, Diaz can get his take down defence and practice working off his back with Shields which is pretty much a replica of GSP. A lot of people claim he hasnt had a wrestler of GSPs calibre, but he is training with one on a daily basis.

Think about it, this happens to every fighter in their career. Not everyone has face top guys yet, but then eventually when given a top guy they prevail. EVERY FIGHTER fights low level guys then has to take on a top guy some day, it happens all the time.

GSP should still stay at WW. The way to have success at MW is wrestling, which that division lacks. So fighting for unanimous decisions and still losing due to size disadvantage is a bad career move. GSP's first 20 fights only went to decision 5 times. His recent lack of ability to close is mainly due to fighting specialised guys (Shields, Koscheck, Alves). Overall, WW's are more well-rounded and rising stars like Condit and MacDonald are much more exciting match-ups.
