It's not as bad as that now but still lots of things are hard to buy, a lot of shops are closing early, some as early as 6pm, trains are running at 80% normal schedule, and there's power outages in some areas. Things are not going to improve much over the next 12months but I'd think you'd still enjoy your holiday. Maybe make plans to spend time in Osaka?
How is tokyo now....are the stores still empty like this?
Me and my gf are going in tokyo like in 2months and it would be nice if we could see the city and stores like they were before the quake =)
