Indeed, you would have thought this ultra-fascist ideology would have died off with the World War 2 generation, but a lot of uyoku dantai are younger, born well after World War 2. THAT is the troubling part. I lived in Japan for 2 years, and in Toride, Ibaraki, the black vans were all over, and the Japanese people I knew said they hated it, said it was bad, but they weren't doing anything to stop it either. Bataan Death March 21,000 people died most were Filipeno's. Thousands more died in the camps they were forced to live in. Most died because of disease, lack f food/water, and Japanese brutality

Yes, I know about the brutality at the Prison Camps, and the brutality during the building of the Siam to Burma railroad, and the treatment of POWs during the sailing to Japan when the IJA was losing the war. I believe it was only 11,000 people that died during the Death March and more during the prison camps.

I was refering the estimate number of 300,000 victims for the Nanjing Massacre. The total number of victims for the Bataan death and Camp O'Donald is 600 American soldiers and 1000 Filipino soldiers that died. Yes, it does revive these debates between Japan, China and Korea.

Most Japanese historians accept war crimes were committed in Nanking and a toll of 200,000 is reasonable to them.

Fact only 76,000 troops were defending the Penninsula. Fact there were 1.2 million people living in Nanjing. Which one is going to have more deaths? Did you even get a Filipeno education or even one at all? The number of people defending the Bataan Peninsula was 76000 they lost 1000 defending the penninsula and surrendered. All of them were soon forced into a Death March. During that time only 54000 people actually made it to the camp dying of both Japanese brutality and disease.

IOW, my paper was bias. I realized then that whenever trying to found out about the past, the greatest weakness to history is being bias. I wrote and presented what were supposed to be informative and educational and it turned into almost a way of projecting my "grudge and revenge". I try to warn fellow historian lovers such as yourself to also get rid of that grudge whenever presenting any events of the past. Cause it is not us who get hurt, it is the future learners.
