Are there any servers with original EQ and level select and any item selection /w pre-nerf items? I want to try out this game, but I don’t want to start from scratch - I don’t have the time. I also heard the original didn’t require minimum levels for gear & weapons. Is there any free Everquest emu servers that have pre mades with the best gear ever made pre nerfed - God Gear, kerafyrm, etc whatever was the best. I want to play the game in its prime with all the best items and run around killing

I played EQ 1 between 2000 -2004 on Innoruuk server. Sleepers Tomb, Temple of vesshan, Ssraeshza Temple... was one of my favorite zones.

I have tried all the new mmorpg at low and top level and after playing everquest from 1999 to 2007 there is no new game that come close to the everquest experience from the beginning. Maybe its impossible to find a game like everquest when youre first game was Eq ? Farming yeskha and fbss in guk then next week kill FG and try to kill nag why cant i find someonething like this in other games ?

Becuase it was the uniqueness of the gamestyle; EQ was the first of its kind - there really is no way to re-invent the wheel, thus it will be hard to find the same sensations that EQ provided, sadly.

doesnt mean you cant have fun with otehr mmo's - but they will never recapture the original, unique feeling.

Old EQ'er myself, on the Rathe. God, I miss this game! Getting called at 4 in the morning by guildies, "Log on, Ragefire's up!!1!" = awesome =P

I don't know the guild that's on here but if I remember my server I was on they got banned because a GM was helping them. As I said maybe a different case here.

Actually, I was there, Iksar Monk, but it wasn't banned, it was suspended, only our guild leader got banned, but there were other reasons for his ban aswell... We also got out loot turned into something like "Jesters chestplate of exploitation" -99 to all stats -10000 to all resists and stuffs.
