But I will try and sum it up for you.

Basically Lana (Kristin Kreuk) left Smallville and went to Paris. She met Jason Teague (Jensen Ackles) there. Then when she went back to Smallville he followed her home and they had a relationship for the 4th season of the show. Then at the end of the season they killed Jason off and Jensen went to do Supernatural.
