Many Creoles are the descendants of French child slaves. It was illegal for kids to walk alone in France through the 18th c. and they would be locked up and if the family could not pay the fine, the kid was shipped to French territories in what is now the US, for the purpose of free labor and adding French blood to the area. It is a nasty part of French history. That's why you find so many French names there such as Bourgeois and Petit. Those mudbugs look fine! I love turtles, good vid.

I live by a neighborhood pond but the city wont cut the grass so lots of snakes so I cant set traps,do crawfish bite in winter
