@ztslovebird I agree, the current encarnation of Journey into Immagination is dated. I can remember when EPCOT first opened and all the rides were great.
@woodencoasterfan Well Disney himself said that Disney World would always be evolving or constantly chaging. It's hard to do that though because you can't get rid of classics like Haunted Mansion Space Mountain ect. It's a difficult thing to live by.I always so don't get rid of the coasters.
i just got back and im very upset that they changed the audio coz me and my dad love the ''now approching walt disney's carousel of progress'' at 6:49 and wish that they had never changed the voice!!!
@2brothersvideos I remember that saying! I say it every time even though they changed it ... that was my favorite part of that ride ( except the part where it shows Space Mountain and the Future Disney World.
its a great big beautiful tomorrow! i used to work at WDW and in Tomorrow land at Merchants of Venus and Star Traders I used to hear the soundtracks that you all speak of daily...my fave attraction there is the Carousel of Progress
@ac30165 Not many people know that the Carousel of Progress is older than WDW and Disneyland. It was originally built for the World's Fair. I believe it was in NYC in 1964.
@ac30165 hey i used to work there too in 2006 I did the College Program and got Tomorrowland Merchandise I loved it except for the long hour shifts in the dead heat
I seriously love the music that plays in Space Mountain from 3:30 on..... and also "Now approaching Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress" Wish they never changed the audio...
@Jdevs99 Same here, but Walt said his parks would be constantly changing. I'm just glad they didn't try the Rocket Rods like they did at Disneyland. They lost a piece of their history when the ripped out their WED Way People Mover.
@woodencoasterfan Just because Walt said his parks WOULD be constantly changing doesn't mean all the changes are good. Just look at the Imagination Ride. The first incarnation was great, but the subsequent "re-Imagined" versions have gotten worse and worse.
I am going to go on this ride at LEAST two times the next time I go. One time just looking straight ahead the whole time and the second time looking on whatever sides I want to! Lol! :) I'm dreaming of going back everyday! Love Disney more than anything! :(
My mom always laughs at me because im not a thrill ride person and this is my favorite ride there lol but i told her this year when we i am going to ride all the rides :) we made a deal lol and we leave for Disney world in 32 days :D so excited ( yes we counted down who wouldn't )
@lilly98ish Well that's good to hear. I would suggest if you want to ride Space Mountain that you first ride Big Thunder Mountain. If you like Big Thunder, then you'll like Space Mountain. The rides that tend to get the longest lines are usually Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain so those are the ones you'll want to ride first. Big Thunder and Splash Mountains are right next to each other in Frontierland and Space Mountain is on the other side of the park in Tomorrowland.
@woodencoasterfan I went on Big Thunder Mountain when I went to Disneyland many years ago & loved it. I got dragged onto Space Mountain & almost got sick! (And I'm not known for getting motion sickness!) I wasn't good for much of anything for quite a while afterwards & we had to hang out in an arcade until it passed. Space Mountain is MUCH more intense than Big Thunder.
ok you might call me wierd but this is my all time favorite ride in the world. my little sister has autism and we went to disney two years ago I loved it but my little sis was miserble, she had melt downs practicly the whole trip and i remember the only time she was truly happy was on this ride when she saw that girl getting her hair done at micky star thingy and started to laugh..it was or last ride of the day but she was in a great mode the rest of the day :) i just hope ill be back soon :)
One of my favorites! Relaxing but also because it has a keyfunction in the history of Walts idea for Florida. EPCOT (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow) was the original plan and the WED Way was the key-transportsystem. Unfortunately he died before he could even try transforming his vision into reality. After he past away the Walt Disney Company decided that it did not want to be in the business of running a city. :( So you could ask yourself if WDW is what Walt would have wanted?!
OMG I luuuuv Disney! Ive go there every spring break and cant get enough! Im going back in a week. Cant wait. Majic Kingdom is my fav, hands down. And i heart tommorow land! After a lot of walking, Transit authoroty's really ur best be. :)
@TheCrazymonkey0421 The ride never stops it just seems like it does. What you see as being black in the video is actually the Soace Mountain roller coaster. You actually can see it in person, it's just too dark for the camera.
I think Walt should've stuck with the original plan for EPCOT. I mean, it would've made a bit more sense that a half future city, half around-the-world thing.
My favorite ride when my wife and I go to Disneyworld. It's a shame they replaced the narration.. I can understand when rides need to be refurbished but at least leave the original narration..
@pieislikedisney This ride is an updated version of Disneyland's WED Way People Mover (aka the Tomorrowland Transport) when it was built at the WDW's Magic Kingdom. I'm pretty shure it opened right around the time Space Mountain opened which wasn't long after the Magic Kingdom's grand opening.
@cancerman50 Its propelled by magnets, but it still moves along on tracks. I believe this ride is the oldest opperating magnettically propelled ride in the world since Disneyland's WED Way Peoplemover has been removed.
@EmmyyUzt Actually, this was supposed to be the transportation of the future. This ride was originally called the WED Way People Mover and it was going to be used at EPCOT to move people to and from their appartments & houses at EPCOT to the city center where they could take the monorails to the Magic Kingdom or the massive industrial complex which was all to be on Disney property.
@EmmyyUzt yeaaa...it looks bad this way... im actually a roller coaster enthusiast and i enjoyed this ride. part of it has to do with the fact that it was like 9pm so it was dark. believe me its a totally different ride. try to find a vid of this ride in the dark

@woodencoasterfan yeah, a younger guy does the toug guides voice, and i miss this guy! but i liked the new soundtrack. and when you pass Stitch, you hear Stirch laugh!
I remeber when i was 10 i got on this ride and when we went through space mtn, i got scared cause i thought we had to ride space mtn. Now i get on space mtn like 10 times
