  • whipping the sea is a laugh, makes me think of john cleese whipping his car, when the motor does not work. But remember this action of Xerxes was described by the Greeks, (Herodotos or other writers)... so maybe it gives food for thought why they described it like they did.

  • There were 300 Spartans and 700 Thespians on the LAST day of the battle. The rest of the greek army went back to defend Athens. People who die for their country and freedom are no assholes. The word "Spartan" is a synonym for heroic self-sacrifice.

  • Whipping the sea? hahahaha, he must have been a confirmed retarded leader

  • Wow, that guy lead a victorious sea campaign against a much stronger enemy and gets exiled for his trouble. Dam, that's harsh. And those 300 ass-holes (who apparently had another 1000 men backing them up in that fight) get all kinds of praise and stories written about them.

  • @Disthron stfu and learn history you mother fucker.

  • @Booyaka009 Well, in a separate documentary specifically about the battle of thermophile there was 1300 Greeks on the battlefield that day.

  • @Disthron And still hundreds of thousands if not millions of persians, outnumbering the Spartans.

  • Did Dr. Rawls send you here?
