Always loved the Song - and always wanted to see the "mysterious" Vid that never saw the light of day. All I can say is the Vid is as great as the song itself --- LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

Would have loved to see the Henson Puppets a bid better - but I rather preffer tiny glimpses compared to not at all.

And by the way - David looked always amazing but HOURS - he just blew my mind the hair the over all looks just facinating - GOOSE BUMPS ALL OVER ME!!!!

I worked on this video, doing playback of the song and also recording a very short scene with Bowie addressing "the band". The Henson puppets were super cool (think they cost $10,000 each, five of them), the Thin White Duke puppet even smoked! There was also Hunky Dory, Ziggy, the clown from Ashes to Ashes and one that was current Bowie. David was awesome to work with, super nice and professional. Rather than hanging out in his dressing room, he stayed amongst the crew, joking with his pals.

@markmaloof Great story, thanks. Knew about the existence of this video before, but had never seen it. Wonder why it wasn't used. It is very cool that he is playing to an empty theatre. Was wondering whether it would have been an even better idea to alternate that with a cheering audience and an emtpy stage. Maybe not.
