You can't really blame him for the decline in his range. When he was younger, the pressure he put on it was unreal, along with his style. It'd happen to anyone.
The thing is - this is the realtively easy song to sing for Liam - therefore bad for comparison. Take "Some might say" instead - the only year Liam could hit these high notes in the chorus (in the raaaaaain!) was year 1995. 1996 - he barely could, but was still class. In 1997 he shouted 'RAIN!" but still managed to sound good. in 2000 he struggled with his breath to even finish the line. After that when his voice declined so badly he could not finish the line - they did not play it anymore :(

I don't know why people are so critical of Liam's voice. There is a process where virtually every famous frontman or woman have either progressed or regressed; their voices very rarely stay the same. Maby Liam has lost a little bit of his voice but he still sounds really good. The problems that Noel has with LIam has very little to do with his voice.
To be fair, I like the guy. He's been part of what Oasis have become today so in my eyes he's a legend but to be fair if you were to jump from his voice in '94 straight to '08 then you would notice a considerable difference. It sounds as if he's struggling to sing full stop in that last part. Decent video put together well.

I know alot of people make a big deal out of his voice changing but how many singers are able to keep there voice the same? He can still deliver in the studio, and you have to remember he is trying to project over the rest of the band which can't be easy. I'm also going to assume it's hard to hit those notes after doing 3 or 4 gigs in a row as well. Check out Liam singing over Songbird and Guess God Thinks I'm Abel. They were both acoustic and he sounds really good, not projecting so much

His voice receeds in power when his on tour, so this video does'nt make much sense since his voice is at it's strongest at the start of a worldwide tour. Over a year of singing with little time to rest his vocal chords, his voice is obviously going to be affected. could you imagine the strain on your chords singing oasis songs every 2 to 3 days for a year? Appreciate a great voice when you hear one
I think he sounds surprisingly ok thruout this, although i think wonderwall is a song his always felt quite comfortable singing cause it's quite mid-range, it's the high range stuff he struggles wiv sumtimes now. But i would also like to add that in this years tour his been hitting alot of the high notes again when he puts his mind to it!

1997 is the best - he still had the range and sustain of his earlier years, but his voice had deepened and gotten more raspy. 2003/2004 onwards has been a disaster...well...things seem to be improving now, but I bet he's been advised not to strain the notes ala 97, and sing from the gut more
