Wait, is the origanal idea for Sam & Max meant to be an adult cartoon? I saw the cartoon in 1998 n there was no cursing or sexual references.

@boru25 The cartoon version of Sam & Max was only loosely based on the original comic book series, which was aimed at an older audience. The cartoon version toned down a lot of the adult content that the comic book had (i.e Sam and Max don't use their guns), while the games stay closer to the comic, and thus have more adult themes.

The basic joke is, Max is suppose to be a candidate for the presidency, but here he is telling a joke so foul that most of it is getting bleeped. And all he's concerned about is that he might have told it wrong.
