@VarietyGamingMedia Overclock the 2600k and that will be good to go. The 6990 i am not sure if that is a dual gpu card but in my experience when i had a 5970 there was a lot of screen flickering but that was over a year ago. I recomend overclocking both cpu and gup for best performance.

@DeltaForceSFODD your right, eventually emulation will not se performance dips, even if the HD collection can run it at 1080p its an upscaled form 900p and you can get better framerates from a pc when the action heats up, of course the emulator needs about 2 years to eliminate bugs, i'll get a pc like your any day, its not like consoles can compare, plus all these emulators on a single machine just seem awesome, even Wii at 1080p now, and it has perfect emulation almost!

@DeltaForceSFODD the remakes have better UI, effects and sound I believe. They should also play on pretty high res with AA and 60 fps, so not too shabby. Possibly high res videos too.

@DeltaForceSFODD i think they actually will look better, cause of PS3 capabilities. Btw if you could shed some light on how to config my emu would be grateful, although i got the game running, i do on occasion get some reduced game speed.

I had a 5970 before i got my gtx480 and it did not run as smooth due to which i assume is the dual gpu's and because the emulator is write with nvidia cards in mind. As with all emulators overclocked cpu power will help a lot but MGS3 really needs a strong gpu .

i don't think sony could not do this, heck, it's the ps2 that can't do it.. hardware limitation man.. anyways.. very good quality.. but there is a difference between emulators and the REAL thing.. and there is no game in the world that is PERFECT..

@SquallCloud11 allow me to explain, for the past 15 years video game makers have had the ability to make cutscences with this quality, it's called Full Motion Video , unlike during game play where the enviorment and characters are constantly changing based on commands, cut scenes like this are prerendered video files, and if you recall the PS2 had the ability to play dvds so if it could play high quality movie files it could easily play a video like this

Playing MGS3 on the PCSX2 is amazing. It looks better than a lot of games that are just now coming out. Sure, textures aren't perfect at times, but wow... It really does look amazing!
