Vi esta pelicula hace algunos años, en un curso de cinematografia impartido por un cineasta cubano, la verdad que buena pelicula, me encanto, divertidisima, es una joya del cine cubano.

This movie is great and should be taken into the content that it is a product of Pre revoluionary Cuba.. the freedom and difference and quesiotning of opinion of the system was allowed before Castro. It just happen to coinciden with the revolution but it IS NOT a pro revolutionary film. which is why it was released after 7 years of censorship.... Speak of Beuoracy... There is NO comparison to the High Society of the Cuban Revolution.. who are slve drivers.
Excuse The year of production is 1966: Castro's regime begun in 1959, it was done AFTER the revolution, so with Castro at the power. The director is also known for "Memorias del Subdesarrollo" another great film. Also these films where done with the help of the ICAIC, an institute of the Cuban state (also on castro's times) to support and create national films. It's great to see how they can criticize (a little bit-_-) them selves even on castro's regime.
Dear Sinclair2k.-Your English looks pretty good and so is your observation. But is important to note that the films that contain criticism to the Castro system, are not widely distributed in Cuba, they are mainly for foreign consuption so the outside people arrive to the same conclusion than you. Very smart way to gain sympathies.

I have seen all his films and "Memorias del Subdesarrollo" is indeed a great film. When the talents of yesteryears began to die, el cine Cubano se convirtio en una mierda. I used to watch a lot of old Argentinian movies in Cuba con artistas como Amelia Vence, Nini Marshall etc. Gemas de la cultura Latino-Americana. Saludos

Excelente pelicula. Un muy acida protesta contra la maldita burocracia que nos rige dia a dia. La recomiendo para todos aquellos que puedan encontrarla, con suerte, en algun video club o videoteca.

I've been wanting to see this movie ever since i read the description in Halliwell Film Guide a year ago.

everybody had seen this movie in Cuba at least once, it is well kwon there. The film, basically critizie 'burocratismo" which is common evverywhere.
