  • Paul Hogan did a similar parody of Rod Stewart in the early 80s (Young Turks was the song he lip-synched at the time before Crocodile Dundee) only his version was slightly more violent.

  • MY MATES WILL NOW SEE WHAT i LOOKED LIKE IN MY LEOPARD SKINS,,,HILARIOUS AND SADLY MISSED

  • Lol my mum told me about this wen the rod stewart version was on, i agree it's better!

Notice how they don't close up on the others i be their laughin!

  • Apparantly Gordon Brown loved this clip because of the inflation , sorry folks

  • I loved this show! A classic if ever there was one!!!!

  • Its thirty years since I first watched this - it still makes me laugh till I cry

  • Nobody would get away with this sort of thing these days but geeh! this guy is funny!

    Kenny is irreplacable.

  • Just one of the funniest things I have ever seen. What a loss to comedy when Kenny went. great memories though

  • But iss the EXACT SAME...err...'joke'? as the OTHER sketches,of Jagger (lips get bigger an bigger) and Barbra Streisand (NOSE gets bigger and bigger)!!!!Where's the 'comedy' in doing the exact same 'gag' over and OVER again!!!!Thass why his ratings went down the pan, because he juss kept doin the same thing over and over and OVER again!!And it WASN'T funny the FIRST time he did this 'anatomy expansion' rubbish,so by this, the third time used, all it elicits is a massive:YAWN!!!!

  • So funny! I forgot about this sketch, great to laugh again at a wonderful piece of comedy.

Thanks for the memory and laughs

  • i was 8 years old when I saw this & I actually cried with laughter

  • Fantastic comedy, fantastic person, pity his family didnt suport & care for him when he was ill.

  • Hillarious!, he was such a genius!

  • This is very, very funny!!

  • What did Rod think of this ?

  • @bermudarailway Rod and countless others on his show loved it,they wouldnt have allowed it otherwise and certainly wouldnt have come back for more -did you ever hear of Kenny being sued for defamation?they adored Kenny for what he was ,there was no malice in any of Kennys antics ,he was just a lovable goon

  • hanki elämä

  • Yeh. Excellent! I recently got hold of a pirate DVD copy of 20 of his episodes (early BBC stuff i think) And just watched the first episode, which has him doing an impression of Toyah Wilcox!

A classic exchange from the same episode-

KEN (as aged BBC man referring to the Kenny Everett show) What kind of show is it?

    Aged bbc man: Wacky

Ken: Wacky? That's in Hawaii isn't it?

Yeh Ken you were the best. :-)

  • this is really funny. imagine watching this if you were high or drunk.i wonder how the band in the back can keep straight faces?

  • just a shame abiut the soiund qualit because i renember the sketch. long time since i seen this. fair play!

  • Gawd, i loved Kenny. every time i saw him i laughed my face off, and this was no exception as oneaf mah favourite sketches!

  • As a 70s early 80s child this brings back the memories, some fantastic comedy every to greet our screens, R.I.P. Kenny.

  • Ahh, this brings back so many happy memories. I remember watching this with mum (rip mum)and I have never seen her laugh so much, she nearly fell off the sofa!

    Cheers clart!

  • thats absolutly hilarious .... scouse legend kenny from kenny

  • Just realised I made the Jagger comment twice. Anyway, it was bloody funny.

  • He did a version of this gag on Mick Jagger too. It basically ended with a huge pair of lips and a pair of maracas sticking out of them.

  • Yes that was from his BBC series, but does anyone remember him doing versions of the same gag for Thames? One was of Barbara Streisand (nose)and another was of Mick Jagger (lips).

  • But Rod Stewart did not have a beard!

  • Well, srummerino, Kenny Everett had a beard!

  • man was a genius..

  • That geezer was just so funny.

A sadly missed talent. No-one could do zany like him.

  • russel brand prehaps?

  • anyone remember the sketch where a guy becomes blood brothers with americ. indian, who says "Me Big Chief Hepatitis Carrier" Hahaha!!!! Excellent...please tell me if you've seen it anywhere on youtube, thanks

  • classic comedy. Kenny is a legend

  • bloody good laugh i had watching this - cheers

  • Did he do another sketch like this where he sung a different song of Rod Stewert?

  • They showed this clip on Channel 4's 50 Funniest Comedy Sketches show last year, but dubbed a version of Some Guys Have All The Luck over the top instead of Do You Think I'm Sexy.I'm assuming some copyright problem has stopped them using DYTIS - probably because that humourless twit Rod Stewart didn't want his own song being sent up.

  • Someone has the talent. Are we all, who are commenting here, seen this in the 80's?

  • The musicians are laurie Goode bass guitar, Ian Ellis guitar and Paul Brown drums.

  • remember watching this first time around in the 80s. always watched kenny without fail. such a loss to the comedy sketch world, plus not forgetting a great dj aswell. rest in piece kenny mate.

  • has anyone uploaded the one when spiderman goes for a pi*s? :-D that had me crying when i saw it

  • Hahaha. Rod Stewart is wayy sexier. Eh em.

  • many years ago, each day after school, every afternoon i would piss myself laughing to Kenny and many years later i still am.

God bless Kenny and thanks to the good people that post this type of thing!

TV today sucks arse in comparison

  • Poor old Kenny. Gone but never forgotten.

  • Or Barbra Streisand's nose.

  • ROFL! I remember watching this when I was little! Sooo good :D

  • Kenny was a God!

  • Who's the band?

  • The musicians are: Paul Brown (drums) Ian Ellis (guitar) Laurie Goode (bass guitar)

  • Uncle Laurie? Oh, how I wish I knew WHICH ONE IS BASS GUITAR... :)

  • Priceless

  • kenny died b4 i was born. devo. prob the most funny comic that ever there was. wat a lad. amazing! x RIP x

  • veeeeeeeeeery funy

  • I remember watching this on tv with my mum when it was first aired in the 80's, we both cried laughing :-)

  • What a classic!

  • Excellent. Thanks for posting!!

  • Classic!!!!

  • Kenny did a few sketches featuring pop stars with items of clothing or body parts that continually grew, e.g. Elton John's glasses, and (as I recall) Barbra Streisand's nose. Does anyone have either of those ones?

  • i remember him doing barry manilow sketch where his nose keeps growing lol

  • Wasn't that one of his BBC series sketches? I certainly remember that one.

  • I have seen Elton's Glasses in one of my friends tapes.

Let's see can I ever manage to upload it.

  • He also did one of Mick Jagger's mouth growing. Would love to see any of these.

  • kenny is so funny. and this is just ridiculus!!! :D

  • What an utter televisual genius. When I was a kid, this was the absolutely most hilarious thing I had ever ever seen :)

  • They don't make 'em like Kenny any more...

  • british comedy at its very best, i wish the beeb would repeat them all again, 100% hilarious stuff, who remembers his worlds worst record show where people were asked to send in their cruddy records & if he thought they was bad enough he would play them,I sent in a single & still got the letter that dear old ken sent back to me.WORLDS WORST RECORD SHOW on vinyl (still got mine)

  • I used to watch this guy on USA Night Flight, haven't seen this stuff in ages!

  • Was this from the Thames Television or BBC series?

  • Thames, they were better, check out the d.v.d.

  • It was the BBC. This sketch is from 1982 (kenny went to the BBC in '81) and obviously includes an AUDIENCE laughter track, with the BBC provided him with. Thames only had the crew laughing.

  • Brings back memories! The USA Network used to run Kenny Everett's show late on Friday Nights--back in the days before they became a dumping ground for LAW AND ORDER reruns . . .

  • i second wvoutlaw2002's opinion.

  • All done in the Best Possible Taste!

    Miss these shows

  • I have very fond memories of watcing the sketch with my dad the first time it was shown in 1982 :)

  • truly hilarious. miss kenny

  • I used to watch this all the time, cant believe they took it off!

  • HAHHAH class!!

  • So funny but a shame you missed the next scene where kenny walks on stage and you hear a bang. "Rod" falls down backstage.

  • BBC America needs to air the Kenny Everett Show.

  • Well You would'nt see that sketch, it's from his earlier, I.T.V. show in the late 70's.

  • That particular sketch was from the BBC series. How to tell the difference: the Thames shows have crew laughter, the BBC ones have audience laughter.

  • @StevieO1974 It was film at the BBC, but it was a Thames producton. The producers liked working at the BBC.

  • OHMIGOD! This is SO GREAT!!! sorry, BUT I LOVE IT!
