I Love Hannah Waddingham! I saw her in Wizard Of Oz not long ago, so good as the Wicked Witch! Met her at the Stage Door afterwards, she's so lovely! =]
@JavaJunkie555 He originally intended for "The Heart is Slow to Learn" to be used in a sequel to The Phantom of the Opera. He had it performed first by Kiri Te Kanawa as a teaser, but he ended up using it for another musical entitled "The Beautiful Game" with changed lyrics--the one this video has. This year, he reused the melody in a song called "Love Never Dies" for the musical of the same name. This time, for the original purpose because the latter musical mentioned is THE Phantom sequel.
Wow, this is terrific. I've never actually much cared for this version of the song before, but she does a FANTASTIC job. I love the flute (?) in the background music. I wish I could see the full performance, she sings with such power, very moving.
To me it's one of those perfect combinations, an incredible song found just the right person to do it justice - a beautiful lady with a clear, strong voice meets a memorable melody.
Brilliant, thank you for posting. A Parkinson show from September 2000 if memory serves me correct. I've been dying to see this performance again. Thank you.

Let's hope one day, albanyjohn, we can locate Hannah's entire Parkinson performance in HDTV?

Beautiful Lady, wonderous voice and a really nice person (met her at Stage Door after Spamalot). Thanks for posting.
Don't suppose you have the beginning? Wasn't sure whether you meant missed on upload or recording?

Sorry it was the recording. You are lucky to have met her. I agree with your comments.
