its actually quite possible for madara to have taken obito's body as a vessel. since we know madara is still alive, his body cannot continue to function as efficiently as it did when he was young. otherwise, orochimaru wouldn't have needed to switch bodies every so often. bodies are temporary and they will rot away in time. thats just how it is

look for anyone confused about the Obtio/Tobi thing tobi is madara the founder of the uchiha clan and he turned to tobi after the kyuubi. when he became tobi he cut his hair short and joined akutski and put tht orange mask on.Obito died sadly at a young age because he got crushed by a boulder on a mission with kakashi and rin and tht was the same time rin performed surgery to give kakashi obito's sharigan (obito gave it to him as a present)
