Here's a tip: when a long ad is playing, mute the video and look up something else until the ad is finished.

jesus, when i entered this room, and turned on the dropping gel, the gel completely covered the floor before i had noticed the floor was "portalable". for some reason as well, the floor to me there where the gel dripped looked darker when it was covered in gel for me than it does in this video... so of course you look at dark surfaces in Portal and you automatically assume you cannot make portals on them. Needless to say i would have been stuck there forever if i didnt look it up :/
