At 0:18 to 0:50 it makes me remember in Halo 3 when the Donna or the ship (frigate) comes in and the marines saying is the ship rated for atmosphere?. @CessiCB That would be because all the novels and spin off games were made or wrote under strict Bungie supervision. Authors were given an excerpt from the Halo Bible pertaining to their particular story and they HAD to work around that, or Bungie wouldn't allow it to be published.
@1993DJC I don't see why people don't like it. It brought the sci fi element back into Halo, which was lost in Halo 2, and Halo 3. Those two focused more on action. It's got a more interesting story than 2 and 3, imo as well.

Every time I listen to this, I want to go to bungie and say this: Bungie now that you have finished Reach do this, bring up the files of Halo CE and Halo 2 and redo them, so that you can play them on 360 and you can play them both on xbox live and don't change the graphics and gameplay.

It's only rumor. There hasn't been any official confirmation yet. and until then, it's still just rumor. Wouldn't mind a remake, but I wouldn't want them to put in dual-wielding. There wouldn't be regenerating health, since the health meter of the first is because of MCs Mk. V armour. AND I'd want it to be more sci fi themed, like the original. The later games (not including Wars) focus more on action.
@CommanderCody3000 Change Halo 1's graphics... and halo 2's but keep the marines the same in both and the weapon mechanics the same aswell... Halo 2's secondary tank .50 kicked ass. I loved the .50 cal design's on the turrets with the set up oens and the huge ass ones lol with teh big asss gass tanks on them

I've gone back and started playing this again (this time on Heroic). I'm on 343 Guilty Spark at this point and ready to encounter me some Flood. It's still very much playable and so enjoyable. Love Halo music. Has already cemented itself as a legend.
@NASTAR01 I still remember the first time I encountered the Flood, back then it was a massive suprise. I remember just standing there seeing that wave of infection forms all coming at me after the cutsene, then all the doors started being bashed down and then the combat forms came out, and then i realised what the crazy guy meant "You're not gonna turn me into one of those things!!!"
Listening to this reminds me why I love video games. Yea some times you've gotta sift through alot of crappy ones but when you find a gem among them like this it just reminds you why you became a gamer in the first place.
Halo 1 was so epic, I mean comeon. In Halo CE there was levels which where all underground.Now in the other games you go from inside to outside back and fourth.An example is the Library for halo ce, and the Library for halo 2.In Halo ce it had the best multyplayer because of balance,skill,and the fact there was no hideing places.Better music,better story, and allso better environments.Halo 1 is still the best halo game IMO

ODST was terrible, buthad a decent score by Marty. They just took the engine from three, made you weaker as a shock trooper, I just didn't enjoy it

ahh yes, doing this on legendary with a mate. The cheap tactic of running around the corner so they could respawn.
It was worth it for the secret ending tho :P

Every time I listen to this, I want to go to bungie and say this: Bungie now that you have finished Reach do this, bring up the files of Halo CE and Halo 2 and redo them, so that you can play them on 360 and you can play them both on xbox live and don't change the graphics and gameplay.

It's only rumor. There hasn't been any official confirmation yet. and until then, it's still just rumor. Wouldn't mind a remake, but I wouldn't want them to put in dual-wielding. There wouldn't be regenerating health, since the health meter of the first is because of MCs Mk. V armour. AND I'd want it to be more sci fi themed, like the original. The later games (not including Wars) focus more on action.

@CommanderCody3000 Change Halo 1's graphics... and halo 2's but keep the marines the same in both and the weapon mechanics the same aswell... Halo 2's secondary tank .50 kicked ass. I loved the .50 cal design's on the turrets with the set up oens and the huge ass ones lol with teh big asss gass tanks on them

I've gone back and started playing this again (this time on Heroic). I'm on 343 Guilty Spark at this point and ready to encounter me some Flood. It's still very much playable and so enjoyable. Love Halo music. Has already cemented itself as a legend.

@NASTAR01 I still remember the first time I encountered the Flood, back then it was a massive suprise. I remember just standing there seeing that wave of infection forms all coming at me after the cutsene, then all the doors started being bashed down and then the combat forms came out, and then i realised what the crazy guy meant "You're not gonna turn me into one of those things!!!"

Listening to this reminds me why I love video games. Yea some times you've gotta sift through alot of crappy ones but when you find a gem among them like this it just reminds you why you became a gamer in the first place.

Halo 1 was so epic, I mean comeon. In Halo CE there was levels which where all underground.Now in the other games you go from inside to outside back and fourth.An example is the Library for halo ce, and the Library for halo 2.In Halo ce it had the best multyplayer because of balance,skill,and the fact there was no hideing places.Better music,better story, and allso better environments.Halo 1 is still the best halo game IMO

I just now noticed that the halo theme in this is from halo 3, so i guess that's where they got it from in halo 3
