  • Jagger?

  • It hurts to set you free but you'll never follow me

  • I love Nico, she is a great musician, but this is GOD AWFUL, is she high?

  • @hellspawnzilla 4sure

  • snake is old...

  • I hate my name....and now i find out a girl has it?! fuck this BS

  • @paperdeathmachine If it's any comfort, her real name was Christa Paffgen--and she "borrowed" her name from a male Greek acquaintance.

  • HAUNTING

  • the best version of the END!

  • her voice and the haunting melody of the keyboards are just insane...

  • nico must come to trasimenoblues . . !

  • R.I.P. Amy and all of the 27 Club

  • spettrale

  • Mind blowing!!

  • you start your time at the end 3 covers nirvana, smashing pumkins nico and Morrison and the call can succeed.

  • Verschrikkelijk!

  • I've got the vinyl of this song ! It's great !

But I've never seen the video !!! It's fantastic !

I saw her in Berlin some months before she died....

Thanx for this memorable video !

  • I bet lou reed wishes he had 1% of nicos talent.

  • @532bluepeter oh please come on, lou has talent and percentages are variables, you can like Nico that's kool, yet i don't see that she had written anything like heroin, jesus, PALE BLUE EYES, should i go on? Her voice was phenomenal and she was a good musician

  • @rainspirit100 i think the velvet was a rare encounter between incredibly talented people, Nico was already a legend before she worked with them, i don't think it she could be any less talented because she wasn't making the lyrics which makes me think that somehow people forget about john cale and his incredible music.

  • @532bluepeter Are you a fucking asshole? Lou Reed wrote all the most popular sings from Nico

  • @pabloiacc1

She wrote most of her own lyrics after Chelsea Girl and VU, With Cale helpung with the music. .

  • @pabloiacc1

yes i must be an 'arse hole' but lou reed is still a stuck up arse. full of new york artiface until he met john cale.

  • @532bluepeter was this song not written by morrison?

  • @naughtymachinegun it was

  • @naughtymachinegun Yeah it was, but she is paying tribute to him.

  • @532bluepeter i don't think so. He's probabily thanking god every day he doesn't... Because people who reach these levels of artistic greatness are all destined to tragic ends, to pain & misery. He also had his share of this kinda stuff but mnaged to dive out of it because, in the end, he was closer to being a normal guy than someone like Nico. She was beyond life and beyond art. People like her are doomed because they are unable to lie (artistically speaking). Sorry for my poor english btw.

  • @532bluepeter

toooo far i luv nico too but lou reed is awesome

  • Wow... Incredible !

Knowing/loving Morison's End since always, I've to agree that Nico's version is even much darker and apocalyptic !

    Just amazing !

  • Almost impossible to do a better version, (this is not the best one) but the 74 studio record, is actually better than the Doors version, as it is darker, Nico was in love with Jim, her take on "The End" shows it.

  • @opiumrebel I totally agree. Nico's cover takes a little longer to warm to (as most of her music does) but to me that is a sign of great depth and range in music. I listened to Jim's after I came to liking the Nico version and it sounded pedestrian by comparison.

  • Nico...yes...even beautiful...

  • Brilliant!

  • Now THAT's an intimate audience (millimetres from her harmonium).

  • A M A Z I N G !!!

  • l'apocalypse selon NICO!!!

  • Awesome!

It's no surprise Nico did heroin.

Get me some of that stuff.

  • WOW!!! the german accent... her voice... the raybans... the synths... the obscurity of all... ASTONISHING PERFORMANCE!!! anyone can talk about the keyboards used? anecdotes, idk... everything about this concert? pleeeeease....

  • @leponti all i know is brian eno worked the electronics on this rendition

  • @wordslouderthanbombs Brian Eno worked on the electronics on the album version (about 12 years before this), which is totally different. I'm pretty sure James Young (aka "The Faction" on Camera Obscura) is responsible for this version.

  • @leponti

    Nico only played her harmonium.

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! I never thought I would see a live video of this performance, and I've been wanting to see a video of her performing "The End" for quite some time! I can't thank you enough, you're awesome! This is also an amazing performance, imo.
