I loved how on the PSX version, the replay sometimes played out TOTALLY different to what happened, so you might end up missing a shot you actually hit if you saw the replay. lol.

Yeah,this is the best version. Well, its the same as Snes and megadrive which me and my mates used to play in the 90's. Wife hates this one, shes into Armaggedon, world party etc but I keep trying to tell her the first one is better. I just can never be arsed or get much enjoyment from playing her at Armmagedon on my Xbox 360 or my PS1, it aint the same...its like they took a good thing and spoiled it by overdoing the cuteness and cartoonishness! Shame on you Team 17!

I grew up with the Amiga, but never had this for amiga, i had the dos version, but this looks awsome, the orignal worms like his is really awsome :)

I've got "Worms the directors cut" on my amiga cd32 but it crashes after team selection. The readerlight starts blinking and then the game restarts. Its extremely annoying. Can someone help me?

Why cant i get worms games to load on my emulator...!? they all crash out with that stupid red box error message. I tried different versions of the amiga but no result.

The closest i got was with the original worms, i ran it on amiga 500+ but once i pressed start game it just freezes

I dont get what you mean, i tried different configs. As i said the best i got was using 500+. I get no additional results from any other settings i mess with.

2mb chip ram config, 4mb fast ram config, different kickstarts, i just dont know what worms requires to run

Wait, can anybody explain why you consider this the best Worms game? The worms look way better in more modern games. I realize that graphics do not a good game make, but they don't hurt, and the physics in this game also seem inferior to the Worms 2-based games (2, Armageddon, World Party, and Open Warfare 2 DS)

Armageddon was my fav. Of course this one was the origin of all Worms series, but like you said, not that fancy anymore.

This was a specially adapted version of the first one, written only for the Amiga... Some people call it Worms 1.5 cos of this. The original programmer wrote it as a sort of thank you to the Amiga fans which started him on his way to success.

I still play it to this day :)

Sadly I only had the pants PS version, my PC at the time wouldn't run this and I didn't have an Amiga :(

For me, Worms lost its 'feel' after this version. It all turned overly 'cartoony' for my liking and lost its charm.

@stevieu83 Worms DC was a childish game made for adults. The following PC versions was made for a lot younger players and they turned it into a cartoon. Same thing with Lemmings.
