I never understood why Kendall was so pissed about Erica putting her up adoption. It didn't take a math degree to look at her birthdate and Erica's and figure out that she was only 14 when Kendall was born. Did Kendall really expect Erica to raise a baby at 14??

Yo I miss these days....AMC was classic! I even remember the background music....everything was much better. I wish they would look at this and get back to this kind of quality....least give us AMC at it's best for however many months there are left.

The Erica / Kendall tension was an important ingredient in AMC's plots & characterizations. E/K contrasts created conflict - conflict is the heart of drama - in soaps mother/daughter conflicts = high ratings. The writers needed conflict between E&K; anticipating the bonding engaged the audience; lost = no place to go = low ratings. The E/K conflict was gold---good writers would have mined it for all it was worth - & there's the rub - good writers. Drama - Conflict = Canceled.

I am surprised Sarah didn't get an emmy ward her first year on All My Children! The way she acted at just the age of 16 is amazing. She really stole the show when she shared scenes with Susan Lucci.

yeah...it was the shows intention to make Kendall into a younger version of Erica. I think they did a great job to the point that she even got an Emmy award! Sarah has gone on to much bigger things after!

No. You can't blame the writers. Check out clips from Swan Crossing and Beverly Hills Family Robinson. Sarah was able to spew venomous words before she was cast on this show. She just doesn't hold back.

I remember being somewhat unsettled when she was cast opposite Lucci because I knew she would be too intense. But she won an Emmy.

Im glad 'Buffy' saved her from typecasting.

Yes she did, but Kendall was bad news! I'm glad they have a better relationship now. Binks treated Erica badly too, after all that Erica did, Bianca was convinced that Erica loved to look for the bad in her when that wasn't true at all. She's so spoiled. Kendall has more of a right to lash out than Binks does.
