Reprtedly, Ross has had 2 laser treatments for surface wrinkles and moles. That does tend to lighten black skin; a kind of scarring. If hse began to develop dark patches in menopause she may also have used a bleaching agent for the dark spots. Most of the disference people see in her color is merely cosmetics and lighting. She is definately "brown" in person. I have a personal pic of her from the early 80's and she looks very light in the photo.
