the pressure comes on every exercise i do :)

    very cool and nice

    thanks for da vid!

  • absolutely a delight to see,so graceful,what a complete dream.Garry W

  • i thot Qi Gong was different from Tai Chi

  • thank you. so simple. the best.

no sales,no theory, no stealing of our time

  • so simple. thank you so much. he is not stealing peoples time like other teachers

  • Don't listen to marcogiando, those movements with correct breathing is absolutely Qi Gong

  • from whitch school came this exercices ??? I understand some people who don't find Qi Gong

exercicces but We must thinking that there're a lot off differents exercices from different schools in china Then I'm thinking that it's a kind off Qi or Chi Gong. Thanks for your video.

  • shogun: these exercises are found in the Qigong Shibashi set.

  • But... This is not Ki Qong!!!

  • Youre right, it's not Ki Qong it's Qi Gong!!!

  • if you slide the time band on this forward just a little, it will work

    ~ great video: would that there were more things silent about the world ~ : }

  • Nice Video

  • Nice Video

  • Absolutely love your video. Just got it for me and getting another for my neice. Thanks all the very best for 2009. Doing the video everyday is probably the one reolution i will keep and enjoy. Be lucky xxx

  • What a great video - Thank you so much

  • My tai chi teacher has tought me the third form, the second (which is the most diff) and the first one, corresponding to three elements in nature but none of the is like the ones seen on this video, Why? Which form is this one on the video?

  • as each qigong significantly helps the body in different ways. Most notably the Northern Star set, aligning the body with the heavens, making you very very powerful

  • dude, the first to movements are actually from Yin Fu Bagua as taught by Dr. Xeipiqi before he died. The first is the butterfly qigong and the second is the lion posture which is actually a muscle-tendon changing exercise IF done correctly. The 3rd is taken from the Northern Star Qigong, Bagua once again. 4th probably from yang zengdu. 5th, 6th and 7th I dunno. It is advisable to seek out a teacher to show you the rest of the other qigongs you started but mixed in with others as each

  • REALLY a nice video, very relaxing and centering - Thanks

  • Thank you for this great video. I think I can do this.

  • Wonderful video. It is so great that you do the same movement so many times. It really helps a beginner get into the flow and see what is really happening to each part of the body in the movement. Fine JOB!!!

  • which is recommended.....breathing out from your mouth or from your nose?:) nice vid...tai chi forever....!!!! tnx for posting

  • dear cryonicwrrior7

ideally: in and out through the nose, with the tongue on the roof of the mouth. however if the body gets too hot, you can breathe out through the mouth. many thanks for you comment, glad you like the video.

  • Wonderful! This is the first time I ever done this.. Is this a begginer level and do you sell DVD's?

  • @taichimatt should i still apply breathing in and out through the nose if i have a septum deviation and breathing is a bit hard through one of the nostrils?

  • David Carradine says always in through nose and out through mouth on his Tai Chi Workout for Beginners CD which also has good Chi Kung on it. This video is terrific for visuals.

  • Thanks for your comment. There are differences of opinion on this, but most Qigong teachers say to breathe in and out through the nose. I hope to get a version with sound uploaded soon. Best wishes.

  • Thankyou for replying, i hope i didn't sound rude. It is easier to breathe through the nose. I have another question: how far apart should feet be when simply walking? Thank you for your time, actually i love the silence of this video, but will be happy to find another one from you.

  • hi there,

You didn't sound rude at all. RE: feet -about shoulder width for most of these exercises. For tai chi walking about the same- but important not to over-reach when you step and place the foot empty on the ground.

  • Hello, I watch your video every morning ! I love it. This is going to heal me ,It speaks for itself ... Thanks for the healing!!

  • Thank you so much for posting this - it's just like watching my teacher. I have been taking classes for the Yang long form twice a week for just over a month; I try to practise every day. We always start with these exercises before moving onto the form. The form I can remember fine (OK yeah, I know we haven't actually done that much of the form yet, but it's all a lot to remember)... it's the sequence of exercises I just totally forget!

Any chance of you posting the remaining 8 moves?

  • Can I ask? When you do Chi Kung, what is your mind shall be mostly fixed on? Is it on the actions you take, or the visualation of engery you make?

  • hi there,

visualistion is ok, but you need to know how to do this. ideally focus on the sensations in your body, the more subtle and clam you mind becomes, the more sublte sensations can be picked up

    thanks for the question

  • This is one of my favourite set of exercises, there are different levels to this.

you should do 10 breaths for each exercise, the next level is reverse breathing. After that is visulisation. I think there are sounds as well.

    Good Video well done

  • Hi. What really strikes me about this video is the lighting and the possibilities it hints at. The information in the shadows. Demonstrator in black (or better still mid grey)against a white background with strong lights (at an even wider angle)gives powerful subliminal info. Always felt simul vid from front & side was best but this has real possibilities. Regards.

PS: many teachers recommend a light snack, say half an orange, a half hour before practice & I find it works.

  • Give thanks, it is just the right pace for me. Not to fast. Not to many movements at once.

  • Very nice thanks.

  • when are the best times to do tai chi? i heard in the mornings is really good. And also, is feelin a bit magnetic normal?

  • hi, the best time is probably the morning, yes. However anytime is good, ideally not just after a big meal. The "magnetic" feeling maybe the chi energy flowing, that is just natural, just allow it and relax.

  • wow, thanks so mch for this!

  • you are very welcome, more to come soon

  • cool and very useful.

  • really useful instant guide to chi kung set of exercises and for free!
