I've been training alot of weightlifting over the last year to help support my rugby, But now you've inspired me to start bodybuilding for real! This is a cool exercise, I usually did 40x2 usual pushup reps every night, But let me tell you that this gave me a sore feeling the day after :p
I do three sets of each exercise too. I have a total gym but am going to get a set of bowflex SelecTec dumbells. Can't wait for my mom to finally let me get them which should be soon...hopefully.

what i want to know is how he says to take a 2 minute break...does it have to be 2 minutes or can it be more of like 5 minutes? didnt know if takeing longer breaks slows down how fast you build muscle?
A weighted vest is fine if you have one but my whole idea here is use what you have around the house without spending money. A weighted vest with 70lbs of lead would be pretty expensive.

Yes, you can use dumbbells as pushup stands!!! The octagonal ones are the best because they dont roll. You can use round ones but it recruits a whole new set of muscles to stabilize the dumbbells and keep them from rolling.
Awesome vid Scooby! I gave it a try while the video was running and I can feel it is working! About the same feeling as when I am at the gym, but at home. One thing I did notice is the backpack somewhat limits my movement a bit, but it is also extra resistance so it is okay, nothing harmful or with pain. Thanks Scooby for the tips and motivation!

not at all bro. u go to a gym. u use machines. machines let u lift way too much weight. people feeel way to strong using machines. all u need is a bench. and free weight dumbells. thatll build real muscle.
you are right clearviewhigh, but machines allow people to exercise very precise muscle and of course not everyone can be working out w/dumbells due to variety of health problems etc. but machines let many handicapped in every possible way people to have a meaningful work out.

It really depends on what you do and how you do it. It took me about 2 years. And you shouldnt confuse muscle with being so skinny you can see your abs.

hi.. nice to see some nice home workout.. about the packpack.. ive used a packpack for some time now.. but instead of doing the normal pushups afterwards, why not just put some extra weight in the bag and do like 10-12.. whats most effective?

Awesome video as always scooby! Just a quick question really. I'm 18, I've been doing martial arts for co-ordination and fitness for about 6 years and I'm pretty lean as a result. I've done a bit of weight training too in a kind of haphazard way. I'm pretty skinny though, I weigh 146 and I'm 5'11". Is it a good idea to start working out seriously now or should I leave it a bit?
Hello Scooby, great video. I just wanted to add a note here that going that low on the push-ups will also work your Anterior Deltoids; not just the chest. (I'm positive you knew that; just thought I'd add it since I didn't see it stated here on your video). P.S. Great video.

Dont worry, I take 'goofy' as a compliment! I try to keep my vids from getting to boring and being a tad goofy is my only weapon as I have no acting skills.

hi.. nice to see some nice home workout.. about the packpack.. ive used a packpack for some time now.. but instead of doing the normal pushups afterwards, why not just put some extra weight in the bag and do like 10-12.. whats most effective?

Awesome video as always scooby! Just a quick question really. I'm 18, I've been doing martial arts for co-ordination and fitness for about 6 years and I'm pretty lean as a result. I've done a bit of weight training too in a kind of haphazard way. I'm pretty skinny though, I weigh 146 and I'm 5'11". Is it a good idea to start working out seriously now or should I leave it a bit?

Hello Scooby, great video. I just wanted to add a note here that going that low on the push-ups will also work your Anterior Deltoids; not just the chest. (I'm positive you knew that; just thought I'd add it since I didn't see it stated here on your video). P.S. Great video.
