It's a sign from God, I have been looking at these and wondering if this is the load-out for me.... Thanks Nutn, I think I need to get one... Stay safe.
I love the review, but I for some reason cant stand the cross-draw vest, I feel like Im going to light when I had one. I prefer just to do the same as when I go hiking, that system is a grab and go but to most peolpe they would say its too much, it weights about 145lbs, but given the fact that i go out into the desert everyother weekend for 3 days and carry 225lbs when I leave it doesnt seem like that much. I guess Im just the pack mule of the group..lol But hey without pack mules others die.
@adamslurch71 I have a really hard time believeing that your are carrying 145 and even more 225. Have you weighed that? You must not be hiking more then a 100 yards. Just so you know a saw gunner in my unit carrys a war load of 150lbs thats with gun and 5 drums a few frags water side arm kabar. I just think your throughing numbers out your ass with 225. Id really like to see a video you with with you weighing it and then hiking at least 5 miles.
@winkdogydog101 yes just b/c you cant do it that mens I cant. I love how you think. Thin about this, 225 lbs sounds like a lot until you realize that its weights less then I do. I strand at 7'2" and weight around 345lbs, not much fat I was a football player in high school and college. I pack that much weight b/c it actually helps keep me in shape. It works for me and thats how I do things, just b/c you buddy ho was in the military cant do it thats not my fault.
@adamslurch71 i wanna see a photo of you im sorry you just seem to have the answer to everything and i like how you realize you have to be huge to carry that weight. Thats 2/3s of your weight and isnt good for hiking consisantly. This is how smaller frame people blow out their knees overseas
@winkdogydog101 Yea well I grew up on a farm working my butt off everyday just to keep food on the table. Im kind use to it. Day in day out I carry weight that people think is to much but I have to physical problems what so ever. Im one of the lucky few who is blessed with great genetics.
mate i like the knife on the back works good for me to but about knives u should look into a m9 buck bayonet its abit expencive but it works realy good it scared a few people wich got me out of some truble!
@sbrupert it's also useful. If theres shit you wanna cut like a small branch or something like that to use for camo, it's way easier to just use a knife rather than trying to snap it off
i want to get one of these eventually for dual purpose run'n'gun and airsoft type stuff. if i got a crossdraw vest is it very well reccomended going into prone with this or should i just move the pisto to thigh and take extra mag pouches
The new Tac Force Commando is the best yet! 3 more mag pouches instead of that useless holster that you can't use 1 handed. Unless you are a pilot or driver having a chest or torso Holster is a waste! You can NOT get to it prone and it is likely to take damage!
Although you could argue and say that once you dump your primary you don't have to worry about 1 handed re holstering with the cross drawl because you wont go back to your primary anyway but the holster is still worthless. Serpa is best!
I know you're obsessive about weight and all, and I'm 99% with you on the high-speed low-drag thing, you are out of line when it comes to ammo.
You're seriously suggesting carrying HALF as much ammo to save weight? Sorry man, you're wrong. Weird things happen, and I know I never want to say the words "I'm out of ammo." This point right here is where your obsession with cutting weight crosses the line from hard-ass to dumb-ass. You gotta, must, have to, have enough ammo!!!
Don't be jerk. You simply have a differing philosophy. I don't agree 100% w/ his and tend to lean towards firepower.
That said, NutnFancy is a great reviewer. I, for one, am very grateful for his reviews.
That said, I'm not sure I would go with a Crossdraw. I would likely go with a 6 dbl pouch vest, and put the holster on an attached webbelt. On the other side would go a dump pouch on the belt. If the belt attaches to the vest, then I'd just keep them together. Still would be a grab'n'go setup
Hey, Nutnfancy just stumbled onto your vids and am glad someone is out there showing people this gear, I am active duty combat diver and would love to slap a nutnfancy patch on one of my OpTops, But hey Keep the videos coming I know they help out tons of people.
My TK10 (you sold me on that one BTW) rides in a Surefire belt holder. Fits perfectly, only isue is it only has a belt loop and wont fasten to a vest like this.
Tell us if you find a light holder that can go on a vest (or just the shoulder strap of a backpack etc).
question!!! A) How about the plate carriers that come blank and you add pouches too, would you say that they are a better value compared to the vests that already have pockets and act as a plate carrier?
@foroke1 um, we're you like picking the MOST expensive stuff? shop around. got a blackhawk s.t.r.i.k.e. lbe harness for 80 bucks total. pouches, 10-40 bucks pending what you want. you been smoking crack?
@foroke1 no your just a moron. watch nutn fancy, he says to SHOP AROUND. go to surplus stores, join newsletters for manufacturers for deals, and trust me, thats blackhawk because i bought it from there website numbnuts, IT WAS 50% OFF.
@FranklinFirstPastor refering to Armed Serenity Actual part 3, i do believe.. either intel or GTFdude was wearing a condor Galati. they both agreed it sucked, so. yeah. my personal recommendation goes to a 5.11 tactical plate carrer. lots of room for molle, and can have 2 different setups on each side of the vest. check out nutn's review of it.
Can anyone tell me anything about a Galati vest? How does it compare to the Blackhawk? They look the same to me (on the internet) and the Galati is a fraction of the cost. Thanks for any help.
sorry, i dont really know much about these vests, i only watched the vid cause i have the same vest only in a different camo. in my opinion if people are actually going into combat with those vests, like Iraq or Afghanistan, then really use the pouches on the inside of the vest to its full potential. now im not trying to sound rude or anything, but what you could do is put some form of home made armor as simple as strips of rubber or Kevlar if u can. as a first line of defence against shrapnel.
I'm not trying to insult you, sorry you took it that way. My apologies. I just said that I'm glad that it works for you, but really I don't care what gear you use., just enjoy yourself.
I just don't like paintball tried it and I don't like spending a whole bunch of money on tanks for the gun even then still fun just like airsoft more no offense
that setup is excellent for the uniformed officer to carry in the trunk for possible active shooter scenarios among other situations that can go south. It augments the patrol carbine and duty sidearm with gear attached.
I don't agree with the knife on the back. Someone could get up behing you and take your knife. If they were to approach frontside and wrestle with you they could easily grab the knife off your back, stick it in your throat and you wouldn't be able to block it. I put my knife handle up on the lower left of my chest. It's easy to get as well as easy to block if someone goes for it. I just think if I were trying to attack myself what would I do.
Love this vest am currently finding where to purchase mine. I love an ar but for weight which does matter I gotta go with a mini if you know how to shoot well it will get the job done though I hate not finding 30 round mags. Another great series of vids.
Great video, but that molle vest you got the one with the armor plate inside. I think it's a modular operator plate carrier. I was really thinking about getting it. Do you have a review on it? That would be great

Yeah, I got both of mine @ lA Policegear for sixty bucks apiece!! I think they went back up to around 110.00 though. Bummer. Great vid series Nutn, Thanks a bunch!!

Great series. I particularly like the idea of carrying a short wakizashi on that back webbing. I haven't seen one that wasn't some cheap Chinese made piece-o-crap at a gun show...
So I haven't seen one I trust my life with, but that would have a lot of advantages over a normal, full size survival/bowie knife. I'm sure it would have it's own drawbacks too, though.
Hey Nutnfancey, you talk about s grab and go system, so what do you do about your bladder? Do you fill it up load and leave, or do you grab your vest then fill with water and load. The bladder to me, seams to throw the whole system outa whack. Perhaps the bladder isn't apart of the grab/go scenario?
i persanolly agree with you and on my vest i have a belt that i put a but pouch on and i got like 3 bottles of water to fill the bladder if there is a grab and go scenario it wont be cold but it will be clean
I wanted to clarify my question. Do you fill the bladder, load it into the bag and let it sit stagnate in the bag until you need it. OR do you leave the bladder empty until you need to grab your vest. Sorry, my question seemed muttled.
I always wanted a shooting vest but I was left handed so I never listened. I was ready to tell you to but. Both the blackhawk and tac- force vests are in left hand. I see $200 for the blackhawk and $100 for the Tac-force. You made me so happy. These vest manufacturers should hire you for a couple days. Your right on the money.
My cousin in the army has that same tacforce vest, He is in fallujah but stays on the base for the most part so hopefully he'll never be in a full on fire fight but hey he's got something.

Huh. Good idea! That would allow the back to be 'empty' providing the 'flat back' philosophy that Nutnfancy spoke of, to a degree. Thanks a bunch!

I wanted to clarify my question. Do you fill the bladder, load it into the bag and let it sit stagnate in the bag until you need it. OR do you leave the bladder empty until you need to grab your vest. Sorry, my question seemed muttled.

Hey nutnfancy, if you add &fmt=18 to the end of your url, the video is much better quality. Nice video as always.
