sweet. I want a kaoss pad, but I have a question. You can record loops on the kaoss pad from what i've seen, but does it record a loop of your mic input? or only a loop of the effect?

not on KP1- maybe on KP2 or 3.  you can also use it as a MIDI controller.

KP3 records your dry mic input as a sample, or you can add effects to it and sample that.

What microphone would you recommend I get for my kaoss pad? i have a kp3 and i had purchase a cheap mic at radioshack one day just to get some immediate mic play out of it but it didn't work. Any advice you have would be great. thanks

i have an omnidirectional mic i use for area mic-ing and for vocals and samples. i spent about $50 on it used. get an amp for it, though

next time, PLEASE connect the output to a line in, to record it - i would love to hear what it would sound like with nil distortion ;)
