It would sound a ton better if they put it in free mode instead of sync. All you need to do is calculate the correct amount milliseconds for 1/4 notes, 1/8 notes, 16 notes, etc and you would be good to go. Plus having delays slightly off time adds a ton of character and swing to your track :)
