  • I have a 5 string bass and I'm looking for a punchy metal tone for it. My question is that can you play on the 5th string with like 1/2 dropped tuning and not get too fuzzy with hard distortion?

  • @Tunturisorsa mm... you should see my mxr m80 video 8 (I'll upload it soon), it's really metallic and you can blend your dry signal to maintain the bass frequencies. The video will be online in a couple of days.

  • whew, i actually really like this one. how well does it retain the lows with the higher gains in tubesim mode?

  • @BombshellBill I think it retain the lows very well...it respects the sound of your bass and your amp too. Maybe in flat mode it has less bottom.

  • I like Flat mode.

is not murky sound at all!!!! and punch at the same time.

  • that was worth 8min.

    thanks for detail review!!!!

  • I always use the STD mode. Sounds less compressed and with more highs (bite) than the TubeSim. Always run a clean line straight outta my bass anyways too. PS: Kudos for Myxomatosis ;D

  • Nice one! Really useful review! How responsive is the pedal to how hard you play? If you play harder does it overdrive harder?

I have a P bass and seriously thinking about getting this

  • @borneo1984 I think it's quite responsive to dynamics, especially in TUBESIM mode.

  • @borneo1984 It is INCREDIBLY responsive to dynamics! I play really hard and it overdrives really nicely, but recently a rather jazz bassist played through it and it just added a little warmth.

  • Awesome! Thanks for this review, great job!

  • Very good demo! Finally no chatting and a lot of playing! You should teach how to do a review to all those smartmouths on youtube!

    Thank you so much man!

I'm an hardblues bass player and I think I'm gonna get this EBS.

  • What is the manufacturer of cables on the left from?

  • @gerobasu611 The jack on the left (pedal out) is a coaxial, the other is a reference.

  • funny question do you have a guitar and if yes can you make a demo with the guitar ? :D

  • @gorillazmaster I'm sorry but i can't because I don't have it anymore, but I can tell you that (in my opinion) it doesn't sound so good.

  • Good video!
