I like to destroy all the mechs in this mission. It is possible if your lead mech has heavy armor and all the mechs have large numbers of ultra AC2s with extra ammo. You can buy an unlimited amount of them by buying, stripping, and selling maulers (just don't buy them all in mektek!) The resulting weapon configuration produces practically no heat, deals incredible DPS over several minutes of continuous fire. With a ridge all assault mechs can be destroyed. But you still have to go to gamma!
