@AvengedVg Normally only your password is admin, not your user name. you leave the user name blank. But if those done work you can unplug your router for about 30 seconds and plug it back in and it will reset the password.

Just do everything he says and to find the ip address for the ps3, go to settings, system settings, then go to system information which is the second to last one. The ip address will be in there but make sure to check it every now and then because mine seems to change from time to time

He showed the username and password for his specific router model there are other passwords for varying models. Easiest way to find yours is to go search the web with your router model for default passwords and it's sure to come up.

Ok guys if this doesnt work for you try this. Go to Network settings then Settings and Connection Status List , Then remember the IP Address that is shown. Now go to computer, login to your router and (for me anyway) click advanced and enter your PS3's IP address into the default DMZ Server and click apply. Now turn off your PS3 then restart your router, Wait until the router is fully restarted before turning your PS3 back on. This fixes it EVERYTIME for me.

@Schilvertje Try this: Go to Start and type run. A box will appear and type cmd. A black window will open and now type ipconfig/all. This may take a few seconds depending on your connection, once it loads your network information, scroll down until you see your DNS server IP address.

Type in that IP address and that should open your router's settings page. If you have a Linksys router and you don't have a password, leave username blank and type admin for password.

Best to set a static IP address on the xbox so the IP address doesnt change once the DHCP lease is up. Once you done that, try adding the xbox IP address to the DMZ on your router. This allows the xbox to use all ports regardless if they are open or not.
