@rockuvages The first you described is Golden Harvest (used in the 1970's). I believe the second is New World Pictures when it was under the administration of Roger Corman (The music used was the opening bars of "Promenade" from Modeste Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition").
@MrUnidyne I'm having a hell of a time finding either on YT. I don't think Golden Harvest is the one though. The drums I recall weren't kettle/ tympani (unless GH changed it at some point). It was a single snare drum that was hit in a steady rhythm til it faded out. (& I think w. a little reverb)
The one using "Promenade" was def' a company that did kung fu flicks. Unless my memory is shot, I don't recall it being NWP. Any links?
@rockuvages I think it was.We used to have a "Black Belt Theatre" on one of the local UHF channels in town and those movies with the promenade were all they showed (for the most part).
@MrUnidyne - I think i tracked down one of them- A company called World Northal. Ring a bell? I *think* that was the one that used the snare drum intro.
Unfortunately, (as of now), I don't think it's on YT anymore. :( I noticed its been yanked.
When i was younger, that theme song, signaled the start of the noon time martial arts movies. I used to watch them on channel 11 pix in NJ. I was glued to the TV when they were on.
i saw a sb movie where there was two men and one women fighting an entire army. adn with fireweapons but i dont renember the name of the movie.could anyone tell me the name please? i will apreciate that
The Shaw Brothers cranked out films like Toyota cracks out cars. From 1951 to 1985 they produced around 1,000 films. Track down a store near you that sells Chinese DVDs. Celestial Pictures is remastering the Shaw catalog.
Nice logo. This logo is only product in Hong Kong.

What company used the one w. the gradual drum beats getting louder, then fading off?
& the other one that was a quiet synthesizer playing an excerpt of a classical music composition?

:O But the Shaw Brothers are legendary. :o No one who doesn't know who they are has any business watching martial arts films, old or new.
I jest, but you really should watch some SB films.
