@clarkkov I always boot with the CPUS=1 flag and I've tried various other flag combinations, but none seem to work. I'll try your advice and see if it works...
Hey, I am running Mac OS X Zephyroth Leopard , and I have an ATI Radeon x1250 , I've installed a KEXT for Native Screen Resolution , it worked well , but after that I heard that there's an other graphic driver for Radeon x1250 that works well , if you know something about that , can you help me ?? thx..
@atarixle Yes, and use Ubuntu LiveCD to restore/copy the folder back if you can't boot. But problem is that if you use Voodoo kernel, you need to install/replace it again, too. I guess the update restores the Vanilla kernel. Anyways, it's easier this way and more noob friendly. Good advice though.
@Meabed1 have you updated to 10.5.8? SDK will work only with .8 update. If you did, try to reinstall patches and kernel (without the main system) from iAtkos DVD again, if not, install .8 update.
@brozariostalon You have to update gradually to 10.5.7 with OSX combo or delta updates in order for this method to work.
How big is the .8 update in your updater? It may be the update integrates all updates you need to get to 10.5.8, but I'm not sure about that. In theory, all official updates should work, you only need to install all hackintosh patches back again. You should check which kernel you use and is it compatible with .8.
Basically, I don't know, but there is a good possibility.
@clarkkov Thanks man. I had a shot but every time I start up the pc it freezes and tells me to restart again but I will look forward to your information but thanks again .,
hi i need help with one thing i am going to be new in the HACKINTOSH world so how i can install iatkos v7 from a usb (pendrive) because i dont have a cd reader thanks you very much bro
@hombretokokon hey, I'm guessing you are trying to install on a netbook, right? You can check out the mymacnetbook(dot)com for guides and compatibility chart. Installing from USB requires that you restore OSX install DVD to a USB stick, here you'll find guides on how to do that and more.
@zeosrule Well, that supposed to happen, now you have to pop in the kally disk (or the iAtkosv7 disk) and reinstall patches and the kernel and disable the installation of the main system, just like tut says
@zeosrule Wait, have you updated kally to 10.5.7? You need to update kally with "special" combo updates to .7, only then this MIGHT work with kally. It's 10.5.7 to 10.5.8-only update trick. Stock kally is 10.5.2
@foopify depends on what you want to backup, if you have files in system folders or system disc/partition, backup that data to another partition or disc or burn it to a DVD, use time machine or cloud back up services, iDisc or carbonite etc. - it's a completely new story, if you wan't to know more about backing up your data you should do a search on that topic, there are many ways to backup. You can also restore your OSX leopard partition onto another partition or disc via disk utiliy.
Help! After burning the iso to a DVD and trying to boot from it the light on the dvd reader lights up like its going to start, but then the computer boots into windows like normal. Im attempting to insstall on aspire one d250 running windows7
@nbcrene be sure to post back, it works if you do it correctly, even if you make a mistake, you can do it a few times - until you corrupt the kernel or have kext conflict - but I hope it won't come to that...
Cool but i have got a problem: i dont remember the drivers i installed by installing iATKOS. Now i tried to do this but my computer doesn't reboot anymore. I gues i installed the wrong drivers.
Do i have to install iATKOS v7 again and now remember wich drivers i installed or do i have to trie other drivers?
@smithingya you can try other drivers a couple of times without reinstalling the main system. you have probably installed the wrong kernel. what does it say in verbose mode?
After KErnel Panic just turn off and start without dvd ..hit F8 and type -v Done

@chibikawaiichris What error are you getting? Which graphics card chipset model? Try CPUS=1, use AHCI mode. Try iAtkos S3v2

is it meant to take just over 5 minutes to boot into osx. because booting windows 7 took under a minute on the same hdd?
liam666cob 1 year ago
@liam666cob No, OS X should boot a tad faster than W7 on the same machine if everything is set up correctly.

it's easier to backup the extensions folder to restore it later ... so I don't have to remember, what patches and drivers I installed once

but it has an official apple update of 10.5.8
Should I Update?? or is this gonna make my Pc crashed ? thanks

@brozariostalon The best way is to install iAtkosv7 and then update, who knows what 10.5.5 requires, even when updating on a genuine Mac.
