Actually it wasn't a mistake... It's one of Ronaldinhos main tricks and one he uses a lot... He actually developed (or helped delevoping) "the akko" which is an elastico in the air...

And if you knew anything about Rohanldinho and the elastico you would know that, that wasn't a mistake ;)
