My congrats to Dave Swarbrick for keeping the beat going when the audience participation was behind the beat. Been there and I know how hard it is. Dave's variations of Mason's Apron are very amazing!
It's hard to believe Dave Pegg left Jethro Tull to stay with this band. I don't doubt Fairport's talent, but this is definitely not my type of music. I can't imagine Jethro Tull without Ian Anderson. Tull would probably sound like these guys without Ian Anderson. I would've never bought a Tull Album or CD if they sounded like these guys. Dave Pegg is definitely the most talented of them all.
I disagree with every word, i cant imagine Fairport Convention without Dave Pegg, and as for him being the most talented, he is talented for sure, but you have Richard Thompson and Dave Swarbrick, two of the most talented musicians in the world on the same stage.
Richard Thompson is the best Guitarist to ever come out of England, his Knowledge of the instrument is unsurpassed
I forgot how good this was - it was a great show!

Each to their own. I was raised on this stuff since the womb and still harbour a secret desire for Simon Nicholl ;-)

Reports of Swarbs death are way exaggerated! Cool to seem him so full of life and playing so well.
