...like you do. We can't just turn it on and off. Kirk: We must. The Vulcan Mind Meld. Spock: Very well Sir.
To me that scene is one of the best explanations of what Michael is talking about. Consciousness creates reality. We rely on our senses to perceive reality and act accordingly. I've done this very thing with police officers. More than once. Once one wanted to "ask me some questions". I visualized her just walking away. Within 5 seconds sure enough she turned and walked away from me.
If we do not (hang here, this is important) allow ourselves to believe that the bullets are real, they cannot kill us. Spock: Exactly. I know the bullets are unreal, therefore they cannot harm me. Kirk: We must all be as certain as you are Mr. Spock if we're to save our lives. Spock: Precisely. McCoy: That's not possible. There'd always be some doubt. Spock: The smallest doubt, would be enough to kill you. McCoy: We're just human beings Spock. We don't have that clockwork ticker in out heads...
I examined Chekov. He's dead. Spock: But you made your examination under conditions which we cannot trust. We judge reality by the response of our senses. Once we are convinced of the reality of a given situation, we abide by its rules. We judge the bullets to be solid, the guns to be real, therefore they can kill. Kirk: Chekov is dead because he believed the bullets would kill him. Spock: He may indeed be dead. We do not know. Kirk: But we do know that the Malcocions created the situation...
Addendum: The Star Trek (TOS) Episode 'Spectre of the Gun' touches on this topic nicely. Scene: Chekov gets shot and dies. Spock to Dr. McCoy: In your opinion, what killed Mr. Chekov? McCoy: A piece of lead in his body. Spock: Wrong. His mind killed him. McCoy: Come on Spock, if you have the answer, tell us. Spock: Physical reality is consistent with universal laws. Where the laws do not operate, there is no reality. All of this, is unreal. McCoy: What do you mean unreal? (Continued...)
@AceOfHeart2012 Thanks for reminding me of star trek, nice to watch the old stuff again, but you do realise the CIA and hollywood have always been collaborators. The CIA have known about and used mind control, psychics and all manner of hidden knowledge and so u find it in "science fiction" movies, it's by no means an accident. Maybe it's to convince u that all that stuff is just fiction when actually the stuff that Talbot talks about is extremely powerful.
I can answer that. It's because on some level, deep down people 'get it'. We're ALL remembering who (and what) we are. No one is exempt. Everything on this planet is being pelted with the same cosmic rays of consciousness.
Children know the truth without thinking where adults know the lie without thinking.
